What sort of picture would you like? One from his playing days or a more recent one? The best picture of him is definatley the one from the front cover of his book however that is him scoring a try for Widnes!!

imo tommy sale is recognised by most leythers for what he is today not what he was as a player .

I'm pretty sure my girlfriends Grandma remembers him playing. Though I'd bet there won't be many others. His book is a great read which goes through all the different stages of his playing career however.

His biggest travesity, he tells me is that six of his best playing years were taken away from him by service in the war. He still managed to play many games during the war though, although mostly Union!

£200ish usually but once Saley gets hold of a picture then I'll get on to the fella who designed the Murphy flag (a pie eater, but great designer!) and then get a quote from Barmy Flags.

So 20 people at a tenner a pop or 40 at a fiver? I'll chip in, reckon Wurzel will too.

Best only collecting once we've got a quote but it'll be a doddle - I've already got 40 quid left over from last year's collection (and we had 2 flags done then).
