Well I didn't know that he was carrying an injury and I bet most people didn't so don't have a go at people who comment on what they have seen in front of them. It's alright being in the know and having inside info isn't it.

What's Ryan's injury/operation? This was Ryan's first full season where's played the full 80 minutes & he's done a great job for us even on one leg

His knee has been strapped up so I think it was evident really .When he was scoring all those tries before his injury people couldn't get enough of him how fickle some people are .

I think he took a bad knock in the first half. Johny Pownalls dad told me he too ie his lad will now have a shoulder operation now our season is over.

Neither would have played yesterday if they weren't fit to start.

There is no doubt young Ryan is an exciting player, possessing plenty of flair, has bags of pace and full of promise. He has been a great acquisition to our squad and we are lucky to have his talent at our disposal but where do you play Ryan Brierley to make him most effective??

No 'it begs the question' when 90% of the squad are carrying injuries who do you play and where.

Blaming it on injuries and paper thin squads every year gets a bit tedious. Don't see any of the others conplaining about it. I am sure they suffer as many injuries as us. Maybe they just have better rehab methods than us. Or maybe we are just unlucky.

Getting to the playoffs has not generated the same excitement for me as previous years. Possibly downto the fafact we have one win In 6 leading up to them

He was invisible on Sunday. Fact. Injured or not, he didn't impact the game a scrum half should.

He is the most exciting player but even those have off days. He was obviously having one of them on Sunday yet some fans are in denial, refuse to accept it and anyone who happens to mention it gets the usual garbage thrown at them.

I know who your most influential player is by a mile Ridyard.
Brierley is in the Thackery (Fax) or a Kain (Featherstone) mould....someone who is great in broken play and in a bit of space and scores a lot of tries....if you asked them to control a game, take a team round the park, organise, kick opposition to death neither of them can come up with that......
If Ridyard does not play in the current team you would be rudderless.....

I agree completely about young Riddy, I have also used the term 'rudderless' to describe Leigh without him.

It is difficult to challenge anything said above hence my recent post on another thread about where to play Brierley to make him most effective.

I haven't read one post that says that Ryan had a great game. What I have seen is people defending his overall contribution to our team this year. That's not denial.
He is key to our success next year in my view.

Alls im trying to get across is the fact hes had 1 poor game all year and has been ripped to pieces on here, not even mentioning he was playing on one leg and turned down a super league offer half way through the year to stay with us. Hes 21 years old he is going to have bad games its all part of his learning. I wouldnt swap our half backs for any other half backs in the league not a chance but as soon as we lose a game its always ryan and riddys fault. We scored 3 tries to batleys one!

Putting aside the exaggeration, Long John Silver he wasn't, you are being over defensive. He had a poor game, which he is entitled to have, probably because the coach chose to select an unfit player. Your defence of your obvious favourite is becoming close to sick bag time.
