Whats happened to the top two playing each other and the winner going straight to the final?

It's top 8 play offs this year.
1st week is

A 1 v 4
B 2 v 3
C 5 v 8
D 6 v 7

Winner of A & B get week 2 off losers will be at home to winners of C & D losers of C & D go out.

Winners of A & B will be at home in week 3 to the winners of week 2 matches

So potentially we could at either Fev or Sheffield away twice.

Unless the higher placed team don't get through the second game?

CHARLIE Knows whoever we play will be a difficult game , im not bothered who we play , bring em on .

It encourages you to throw the first game, can't understand how playing the same teams twice represents a play off

I think we can go into the first playoff game with confidence & belief but being able to have a 2nd shot should we lose is good to have.

Leigh are in the Driving seat , win em all and we finish second it doesn't matter what other team do , Charlie isn't worried , im more worried about tomorrows Poker

,yesterdays Barrow win was a Bonus for us , theres more chance John Kear will grow a head of hair , than the Bullfrogs finishing in front of us , we wont catch Fev or the Seagulls so its 3rd or 4th place for use , why worry .

Wherever we finish in the league there's a good chance we will go into the playoffs at full strength.



Have to say however the best team in our league this season I have watched is Sheffield.

Having said that and' being biased to get to the Grand Final we will have to beat either Sheffield or Fev away.

I think we can do it too.

finish 3 or 4 and we have to play very smart, do we go all out to win away at Fev/Sheff or do we keep it in the lungs for the following week then play Fev/Sheff again in the semi giving it all for a final spot.
Going flat out W1 has a lot of risk to it imo and the health of the players should decide how we approach it because we can turn over clubs in a one off, but need Parker, Hopkins, Spencer, Ostick, Bate/Duffy fit and raring

.... but if we WON at Sheffield / Fev in the Qualifying Play Off, according to my understanding of the play off rules, we would be AT HOME in the Qualifying Semi Final irrespective of who we played:-

That is correct but Leigh could also be in Qualifying Semi-Final two if either Sheffield or Fev win the Qualifying Playoff that Leigh are not in.

Agreed, reffy, but my understanding is that we would be at home in QSF2 irrespective of who we played IF we had won the first match.

Get the coaches booked ,we love going away , like Fev in the quarter final and Halifax in the final .bring em all on ,get behind the team and we can do it
