it sounds like a lot of people rate jamie ellis quite highly so if he proves himself with us this season i think he will be back at SH or at widnes next season.

We'll have to enjoy Jamie whilst he's here with us & lets hope along with that it brings silverware too. As for Briggs going that'll probably open the competition a bit more, I've got a feeling it's going to be super competitive season ahead of us bring it on

Fair points Nozzy, but can I just point out that we lost Jesse for half the league progreamme last year after he returned to PNG. Sam Smeaton (who had a belter of a game v Leigh) arguably gave better service than JJP!!
But Briggsy will be a loss. Daryl is quoted this morning as actively looking to sign a quality replacement and with a few bob in his pocket his job should be a touch easier.

i didnt rate him at all when he was at leigh tbh but in his defence he was playing in a bad team with players he didnt get time to know and i think watto was the main half back and it meant hemingway wasnt able to do his stuff. He may go well in a good fev side but one thing's for sure, he's nowhere near as good as briggs

FFS Hemingway is not Kyle briggs replacement. He is on a months trial at his request, before briggs left.

Andy Kain is first choice at the moment for the 6 Shirt. With us looking to sign another hooker. And to be honest Andy Kain is as good as most 6s in the league if not better so I have no problem with that. My hope is that we get Bob Beswick from fax at hooker, then its a case of jobs a good en. Kyle leaving will also free up a place on the community team as he was working there so potential for new recruit to earn some extra coin there.
