Best memory of Paul was in the Academy challenge cup when we played Hull KR. We were never meant to beat them in the memory of man!!







We were hanging on 7-6 in front, and the HKR prop forward was giving the tiring Leigh side a hard time.

What a decision to bring Paul on for his debut!!!







We won 7-6, and the prop didn't last too much longer!!

Nice lad Blairy had some good laughs with him will be sadly missed RIP mate.

I remember Karle Hammond (ex England, Widnes, Saints, Fulbronquins) in our school hall after a national schools cup game saying that when he heard they were playing a school from Leigh, but turned out it wasnt the one Blairy went to (St Peters IIRC) that he was happy he wasnt playing 'against that mad ******' or words to that effect.

Top lad Blairy would do anything for anyone , he also had a unique style on the rugby field and wouldn't of worn a skull cap even if they were around in those days . Hope the church is stacked out on friday in celebration of his life .

I'm proud to call myself the sister of Paul Blair.On Sunday I lost my brother,my best friend,my world!!I have just been reading all the lovely messages people have written and it is bringing a lot of comfort to myself and the rest of our family to hear your kind words and fond memories.

He had a heart bigger than anyone I knew,he was a joker,fiercely loyal,daft as a bloo*y brush but most of all a wonderful son,dad and brother.I am remembering all the laughs and smiles we shared,please do the same.Share your stories of him and cherish the memories.He always had an amazing passion for rugby league and I heard many stories about the good times with the lads at rugby and I know there was lots of them.He loved being part of a team,he would do anything for anybody,what a lad!!On behalf of his mum,dad and children please come and celebrate Paul's wonderful life with us on Friday.Remember him....my tough nut xx
