Holds 2,100 just presumably 10% will kept empty for unreserved seating as is the usual regulation so around that number, yes. Will be enough for the Bradford fans but should look pretty busy.

| The feelgood factor at the start of the new season has been largely surrounding ticket sales – with an encouraging first round of attendance figures from Super League XX last weekend.
And it looks like that trend will continue into the Championship this weekend, after it was revealed Leigh Centurions are heading towards their biggest gate in almost ten years.
The Centurions host Bradford Bulls in a mouthwatering Championship opener and, according to Leigh’s head of rugby, Derek Beaumont, sales are approaching the 6,000 figure already.
He tweeted: “Tickets sales now passed the 5000 mark for @LeighCenturions v @BradfordBullsRL with 860 coming from the bulls so far! Gonna be a cracker!”
That would represent Leigh’s biggest gate since July 1 2005, when 7,548 people witnessed Leigh’s Super League clash against local rivals Wigan.
Above from Total.rl.com
I know loads who have not got their tickets yet and most encouraging is kids who are asking their dads to take them due to great work done by the players visiting scholls.
We just have to win the game now !!!

| I have just bought my season ticket today , I know im late buying it , but I asked were there many tickets left for Sundays game ?And was told plenty .Hopefully a very good crowd will be there , but I don't think any where near a sell out .Maurice and Lord Kitchener separated at birth perhaps .

| We've sold over a 1000 now. I don't think it will be a sell out, but anything over 6000 is a massive result for a championship fixture. Still yet to get mine

| So Bulls now over 1000, Leigh reaching 5000. 3 days and on the day to go.
Pretty good. I now think we should beat beat the Leigh at the Leigh Sports Village record crowd of 6476 v the humbles in a friendly in 2009 (courtesy of love rugby league)
Happy Days

| A sell out was never likely and technically not possible anyway due to unreserved seating.
However, as mentioned above, the LSV record is well within reach which would in turn beat our last biggest second tier crowd which was the 6,399 vs Widnes in the play offs in 2001. Even that it was boosted by 2,000+ away fans which probably won't be the case on Sunday, as was the 5,500ish we had for the play off game vs Oldham in 2000.
Prior to that.....??

It will be a change to see some away supporters in numbers instead of the usual 30 apart from Fev n Fax not many traveling fans come to the Championship games ..You Bulls fans are in for a massive shock when you play yer home games..One things for sure Leigh Centurions fans won't let ya down we travel in big numbers no matter who we play..

| Does anyone know the modern era second tier attendance record for a non play off match? Would have thought Cas or Widnes hold it?

| Found out that Cas v Fax got 6284 in 2007 but maybe Cas v Widnes or the reverse fixture in 2007 may have drawn more
As an aside, that season Cas went to Rochdale and beat them 106 - 0

| Didn't Fax get a massive crowd for a final league game against Batley, when they needed that big crowd to boost their average attendance to meet SL criteria? (about 20,000...........ish! )

| I was there that day and they quoted about 4500 to bring their average up to the requisite so they could apply for a Superleague licence.
Think record Championship crowd was Widnes v Leigh about 2003. Leigh won.

| Widnes v Salford in 2008 got 8,000ish I think.
To have sold over 6,000 tickets at this stage is absolutely unreal. Glad to see such a big Bradford support as well.

| I remember the 6k + game and the 6k Oldham game like Yesterday !!
The biggest crowd prior to that was the Challenge Cup plate Semi Final when it approached nearly 7k (4k of which was from Hull KR). We got spanked because we had a CARP team !! lol Was it 1998 ??
Its going to be a great day. Irrespecative of tickets sold, people (Like me), will stroll up and queue for mine. Anything above 7k would be fantastic. To beat the up to date record (Widnes v salford ?) of 8200 would be unbelievable.

| The plate semi final game was in 1997 and the official attendance was 5,500. Stanley Gene had a field day.
Sadly the day is remembered mainly afterwards for the delinquents who can not handle a drink that turned the B&Q car park, and surrounding streets into an absolute battle zone.

8,189.
There were 6,143 at the Willows earlier in the season for the same fixture too.
Sounds like Leigh v Bradford might be a bigger crowd than Salford v St Helens tonight, which is a fantastic effort*.
