Agree. It's down to their jealousy of our Championship results for the last two seasons and as a consequence our average attendances increasing in that time by about 60%.

They may gloat about our bad results in the middle eights. That's up to them and I rarely bother responding but we all know we aren't pleased anyway so it doesn't bother me as we will be a lot better next season imo.

People coming on here having a go at the club I support is fair enough and a lot of their posts annoy me but some make me smile.

Charlie sometimes i find Ging quite abrasive but the more iv'e read the more i see his humor, one poster i quite like reading is the only one who i have seen "get your back up" even when he isn't posting to you and thats GFB, iv'e never (as far as i remember) read hostile or abusive posts just deluded one eyed ones relating to Fax

or quite balanced opinions.

Ste, I've met and had a drink with Gingy many times both in Leigh and in Fev , believe me he is a good bloke, always speaks his mind ,but is honest and has a very dry humour, I like him.As for GFB your right he DOES get my back up, normally I'm a very placid Clown but GFB knows how to rag me, I can take banter from anyone and love the Craic but he seems obsessed with Derek and Leighs spending, he's entitled to his opinions I realise that, but me and him never agree, I suppose that's life.I do like Fax though.

These boards would be boring without biased one eyed views of opposition fans. Some of the crap posted on here by obvious trolls has made for hard reading though. In my eyes if you are going to try and get a rise off someone at least put a little imagination in to it, if you are just going to start a thread by going hahahahahaha then its just poor and uncreative.

I do try to offer an honest opinion though for the most part even if it is a tad biased here and there.

As for gfb I don't mind him because when he isn't winding up he is very knowlegable and bang on Right about our defiecences in the pack!

We need to learn to be more media savvy and very quickly.
Using a few examples this season involving Bradford :
The spat between Derek and Wood (or whatever he's called at Bradford), it was of course Derek who first got refused entry at Bradford (possibly twice) yet if you read about it at the time there was little mention of it as Bradford are more experienced and far better at media relations (in fairness they should be having been in SL since day 1 and a top club in that comp since pretty much day 1).
Equally Bradford made 9 changes v Fax, a big amount that would normally have got questions asked as it not only had a big bearing on how the final table of the 8's finished but more importantly how the wealth was spread but again nothing will be said of that, if that had been Leigh playing Fax and resting 9 players I can guarantee the media would have had a field day with it - and its this we need to improve on.
Bradford and others know that pressure can be made by using the media and whilst we are very honest and frank with our media dealings I think we need to learn from the Yorkshire clubs and be a bit more savvy next year.

Without trying to be too biased I think Lowes was probably afraid that Fax would beat Bradfords first choice 17 and there would be nothing worse than them losing their last game before the million pound match. He took the easy option imo.

Well my view is he made a big mistake.

Had he picked his best 17 against Fax and his players got a win of 13 or more they would have a home game against Wakefield AND a lot more prize money.

I'm sure Eagles fans would tell you that even had Wakey had something to play for they would still have beaten them.......just like the Fax fans. We can only suspect otherwise.

I'm not sure what you think needs moderating Jenky but there's nothing on any of these latest posts that needs moderating, unless you want a totally sterile, self congratulatory message board that is.

Just click their name & click "add foe" and the boring trolls are gone. I say trolls there seems to be a lot of them saying pretty much the same thing all with very few previous posts, I think someone needs to find a hobby.

Would hate to see a sterile self congratulatory board, just as I'd hate to see the board resemble something you'd expect to find in a school play ground.
