The Ainscough rumour was squashed by Trevor the other week in the LISA meeting (and was put on here), he also said that things were being looked at, but last weeks loss meant a lot not only on the field but massively off it and anyone thinking different was in cloud cuckoo land, things are desperate perhaps even more so now than ever before, but until things are finalised one way or the other there can be no news because there isn't any.

I can't cope with all this why can't things run smooth for once ! just when i've got somebody interested in coming to watch Leigh next year as well ,my first thought when we lost last week was the money that we could have had not the fact that we didn't win if you know what I mean ,pig sick

Apart from winning the prizemoney at the Grand Final what other financial benefit is there for gettig to the final?

Reading through the RFL Operational Rules clubs only receive "expenses" from all play-off games and the remainder goes to the RFL!!!!

Championship GF prize money is 50 K for winning , 30 K for losing , plus a few more commission for ticket sales and various other bits and pieces

We lost at least 30 k last Thurs

Where do we send this money as I will be doing the same plus the cost of my two pints and a progamme. I would have spent it anyway.

My understanding is the white knight needs certain criteria to be met before investment Is given. This is about the whole club and how its run and I mean every aspect. can we run a 18s and 23s next year?

Sorry SM but there isn't any white Knight full stop at this stage we will be very very lucky to run any teams next year and I don't do scaremongering as people know.

things have changed then and not for the good

I'm sure things will be a bit clearer in the coming weeks. We need to know what we can do to help though. I already rejoined LISA in the summer but now the season is over we have no way to contribute. For example would putting season tickets on sale now be a good idea. Ok we won't have them yet but surely people could pay in advance if it would help the club over this period. Just a suggestion.

Im sure all that sort of stuff will be annouced at next weeks fans forum.
meanwhile the club needs funds in, or it cant sign up Players for next season.

That was why I suggested it. Someone said we had 800+ ST holders last season. If we could get even half of those to stump up say £130 thats £52000 to start us off. I'll try and make the fans forum and suggest this though I'm sure it's something they may have discussed already.

Never one to spread rumours but I've just been told that it was doing the rounds at the Championship dinner last night that we're in VERY serious trouble. Hope it's just rumour mongering.

As a fellow RL fan I genuinely wish you all the best and hope this works out to a favourable solution. RL needs a competitive and prosperous Leigh club. On the field you've been impressive under Millward and I hope this continues for you under a new coach.

As a Wakefield fan I can genuinely sympathise with the agony of uncertainty and craving to know the facts. Thankfully we've come through some very dark days when all seemed lost. I'm sure you'll come through this and better for it too.

I'll be keeping track of your developments. We all love RL and long may it continue in the heartlands.
