I've had enough of Leigh RLFC! Moved home to Lincolnshire a few years ago and now am a Sheffield Eagles season ticket holder. So in a strange way it was a good night after all.

The news of Millward wasn't the start of this it was Arthurs departure that was the begining. Also if we had not put the news about him going to Cas they were going to the next day. They had the right hump with us over it. Anyone with any knowledge of team sport could see that we were winning and playing average rugby compared to how we were at the begining of the season. The zip went just after Arthur going and it didn't really return. We were beaten by a poor side tonight and I'm gutted. I couldn't clap the lads off tonight I was that gutted and it's the second time this season. The first was last thursday. Maybe I have got the same problem as the team. Lets all have a good rest and a re group.

The most dissapointing thing for me had i been a Leigh fan was the fact they seemed to out enthuse you and wanted it more, that would of really piisssd me off and that is down to the coach for me.

Almost a season of turning points, never mind tonight. Special mention by the way for the tackle on Maden at 10-20 with probably 7 minutes left - looked all ends up he was going to score but a Sheffield man came out of nowhere and completed the tackle. Might have been a different game had Maden scored at that point.

the club keep asking for more fans and it has grown over the season,but like someone else said only 1800 on tonight.over the years while ive watched them they get you excited thinking this is the turning point and then WHAM something happens AGAIN. its since millwards departure was announced that we have gone from being one of the top 2 teams in the league to one of the worst,that is not the players that is circumstances (chairmen, players leaving and the coach going)and the rlf slowly killing rugby league.
i fear for my team next year,i just hope this does not put a lot of people off,because i think over the years thats why a lot of fans wont come anymore,and the way the game is bieng run....i will keep going im imune to it now..

The first 10 mins of the 2nd half could easily of wiped out Sheffields lead, and we could have moed on from there.

I must agree with Millward not running the line though. Ian just sat there with his head in his hands does nothing for the team IMHO!

Is that still a first team coach contract, if so will we be paying two coaches next year assuming we will be able to appoint a new coach, if we are still here. If he got a new contract when was this ,for how long and granted by who

It has gone down hill since ATs departure, but he put a lot of money into the club unselfishly all these years and nothing lasts forever, so it was always going to be a problem when he withdraw his support.
Then the players pick ed up and carried on won us the NRC, thrashed Widnes after that , however since Millwards annoucement of him leaving the proformances havent been the same, we haven't played well (except in short spells) since, over the last few weeks youve seen the errors creeping in and things not going right, the players never go onto the pitch not giving their all, so its all mental problems I reckon all pointing at Ians second leavng us in the leatrh(sp)

Dont be sorry, your absolutely right! Ive not seen McGuire at Wigan holding a South Sydney scarf above his head and, he's going to the NRL! The Sheffield dugout was full of enthusiasm from the word go and their fans, players and coaches gave their all to ensure they were the ones celebrating at the end! Some of the decisions our players/coaches took on the pitch last night were baffling! Millward has now lost all three play-off ties he has been in charge of at Leigh and, they were all at home! Someone has called Trevor Barton a Turd on an earlier post, does anyone have a fitting description for Millward?
