This is exactly what i was getting at when i replied to one of Charlies posts on another thread about us not being able to predict league table positions this year as we have no idea how this Twinning fiasco will work out through the season and looking at that Swinton squad i too fear for the integrity of our comp.

Was/is there not an age limit for D/C's? Surely, Woods (& McCarthy?) are the wrong side of that age limit?

How can it come back to haunt them Tony?,If Warrington have a first team squad of 30 players (just a guess) and tony Smith names his match day squad of 18 ,that leaves 12 players who are available for DR, so at least 3 of them will be playing for swinton every week.

John look how we suffered with just loosing one or two players. They could be changing 5 or 6. As well as all the stick they will get from the true teams. I sit near the opposing clubs coaches an I will not be holding back over this fiasco. Especially if we are loosing.

When this initiative first came out i dont remember any club using any players that were old or established first team players, so if there ever was an age limit then clearly it doesn't exist anymore,so not only is the championships a devolpement/feeder leagues they're now reserve leagues as well.

Id be surprised mate if swinton don't spend a lot of time training with warrington,if thats the case then players being changed around wont be such a disruption.The championships have gone mate,they might as well call it the FDR league - feeder/developement/reserve leagues.

They don't have the space, personel or time and if it disrupts the Warington training regime Swinton will be tossed a side. Warrington will only integrate Swinton players into that regime if they think they are good enough. There will be the cream from Swinton training with Wire and the rest will be with the Swinton coaches. Team morale booster or what. Not.

Wont Warrington train during the day and Swinton at night?

What may happen is Smith may set the training sessions for both clubs, allow for an easy transition between the two.

at last week's fan's forum i'am sure that paul said that warrington's coach[ smith said that james lathewaite would not go to any championship club.......must have changed his mind........

A easy way to slow this is to boycott any away fixture v 'Swinton' and to those that watch them at home, don't- hit them in the pocket.
If gates drop and money starts to dry up this idea will soon get reviewed.
'Swinton' will be expecting a decent gate at home v Leigh , Fax and Fev to fund the hybrid team they are slowly becoming........

Lets be honest apart from a potential few short term wins now one wonders just how dangerous this is to 'Swinton'RL effectively becoming nothing more than a name for Warrington Wolves reserve team.

Swinton might be the 1 st , but they wont be the last , and lets not forget , they are unique in their problems , John kidd has to somehow keep them alive as a club until he can get them back home

If he wants to risk making his team into nothing more than Warrington Wolves 'A' team then fine, I personally believe that will cause more harm than good but I'm sure he's looked at the risks and its his club / risk so he cn do what he wants.
However in doing that he will indirectly damage clubs like ours as in effect it turns our league in the eyes of many into not just a 2nd tier league but a reserve league.

This is Game Day 1 and already the new DC set up is turning into something it wasn't supposed to be , one wonders what this league will look like 1 year from now.

As said elsewhere, when it was age related, then it was an understandable and (to me anyway) acceptable way of improving the standard of teams outside SL.

This is taking it a step too far, and really reeks of just enabling SL teams to keep players match fit.

This is a joke, i'm getting really cheesed off with the decisions being made in the lower leagues. In the not too distant past Rugby Leagues strength was it's domestic competitions, lower leagues too. We've been totally cut off now.

This is so true. As a Keighley supporter i am now worried about the drop.

The RFL are well known for creating unlevel playing fields. This has the potential of becoming like the slopes of Everest.

I wouldn't worry to much about being relegated.

Over the season any club that has a squad of championship standard players will finish above York,Swinton and hunslet.

Back to the training thing. Did our DCs come over to the LSV and train with us in the evening after doing a day session with their parent club? I have to say that if I was in their shoes I wouldn't be too happy about doing a double day for the same pay.

I think they would still only do four/five days training, but they would do two with us and three with their parent club for example.

So it seems Swinton have officially signed 4 players from wire on contracts to the end off the season. So they are no longer wire players.......pull the other one....add in 5 dc players

Swinton you are now officially wire reserves. I will not attend any Swinton games other than our home game.

Note to lsv ....put up your rental to swinton , warrington can afford it.

Didn't they do weights and conditioning etc at the mummy club during the day, then come to baby club in the evening to do on field moves etc?
