I think some of the things said ring true. There were plenty of your fans midway through last season dishing it out (things such as WHEN we're in super league next year i.e 2016 we won't have to visit these terrible clubs etc) which is why I would assume most people took great delight in your Qualifiers burn out.

Signing the type of players people love to hate like Hock will have contributed as well.

I personally have nothing against you leythers, we always have belting games (even if we've fallen narrowly short in the league meetings over the last few seasons) and every leigh fan I've met in person have been knowledgeable about the game and easy to warm to. Take it on the chin and keep a stiff upper lip

Most of your comments seem to be of a negative nature towards the team/club/fans etc. you just seem to look for more of the bad bits than the good ones.

Just for the record, I think B Thaler is the best ref in the business, however, some of his decisions were inconsistent during the game on Sunday, i.e forward passes and high tackles. But I'm sure you'll disagree.

If opposition fans have a problem with, as you say a minority,being arrogant and so called boasting........So what. Let them think what they like. My take is Leythers are just expressing their passion for the club.

Collectively, It's a combination of showing passion for the club,a bit of banter,tongue in cheek,winding folk up and so on. I just think some folk are perceiving our views for our club wrongly.

Yes, of course it is. Us cas fans are just so jealous of your ability to win a competition where most players are part-time and then collapse when playing a sequence of games against decent teams.
We would much rather have had this than a Wembley appearance and a finish of 4th and 5th in super league.
I imagine the Yorkshire based Leeds rhinos fans feel the same way after winning everything last year.
The reason Leigh are disliked is that the club seems to think it is better than it actually is.

Well the key here is you guys and Bradfurt for that matter are dwelling too much on last season and what happened in the middle 8s. If you want to get excited about that, then that's your problem.

Sorry, this wasn't really aimed at clubs who lived in the SL Ivory Towers. Until the slim chance of P&R returned none of you gave a stuff about the championship. Hope Cas aren't looking nervously over their shoulder this season as I like the way Powell has you playing. I also wish we had Dorn and Gale.

It really is bewildering where all this vitriol have come from. I've never particularly wanted any club to do badly (with the exception of w!g@n but that's compulsory as a Leyther), when Fev were on top I said it was a shame SL was closed to them & supported them when they beat Cas in the Challenge Cup, many Fev fans seem to have taken the entirely opposite attitude to our success with constant slander and conspiracy theories about our players. One of the best things about RL was that fans of all clubs had a comradery, got on well with each other and could have a laugh and a chat in good nature. Now some fans seem to be getting worse than football fans for petty vindictiveness, it'd be a shame if this small group of vocal idiots spoil one of the best features of our sport.

You're right LS. It used to be called banter. None of what I read today on twitter this morning could be classed as banter towards DB for example. It was vicious and downright nasty and these are becoming a little less of a minority.

I wish I had the time or inclination to keep all the comments just on the off chance we got promoted and I could force them back down their throats.
