Unit wants to stay because he's a fan favourite and he's guaranteed to be playing every week when he's here, he' only on the bench at Saints. He's told Saints he wants to stay at Leigh.

Also we've been fooled before with aussie imports. thinking they must be sheite hot cos they're aussies, for the calibre of aussie you can afford you'll be better looking a little more local. Your 2nd team are going well, how about giving those halves a go towards the back end of this season to see if they could make the step up, save some air fare and use it to get the other players mentioned signed up or back up.

I've just watched your game from last night, you look very one dimensional. Paul was sussed out years ago, give him a big hit early and he goes missing, Hesketh did it to him when he was with us and Paul was at Salford, he was sickened off and all the teams know if you don't afford him space, get 3 in the tackle and rough him up he won't want to know........... and yes i know he wasn't fully fit yesterday but if that was the case he should have been responsible and looked on from the sidelines, his injury can't be used as an excuse. Free his wage up next year and get a grafter instead of a prima dona who is only there to collect the coin while he tries to prolong his once great now ailing career.

He's a good player, I think a few SL clubs will be looking at him mate. I agree we need to bring youth in Ste, just we need some established players too. 18 or 19 seasoned players backed up by 7 or 8 talented young players would be about right. What do you reckon?

Good!!! I still think he's a tremendous asset. If packs in RL get battered halfbacks struggle, then backs don't get the ball. It's not Robbie and Riddys fault for last night.

i agree with you, need a few players that have the experience (last night paul was bobbins) but hes the sort of guy that can help the young lads , he's also the face everybody knows!!.

all we really need is a set of backs with pace, maden this year has been great but lacks in pace, alsteads been quiet hasnt even thrown many punches ! nannyn needs to start throwin his weight about and we'll be great.

yesterday our forwards were suprisingly shocking and we didnt have much go forward , doesnt help when some of the balls thrown to them left them ready to be smashed

ridyard did have a mare in defence , as did robbie ! i still would play them all year , stick jock at 9 and interchange him with duffs who i think makes a massive impact from the bench

It was obvious Riddy and Robbie were not fit,maybe a couple of others to, we paid the price,very hard to take ,butlife goes on ,role on Keighley next week,i stillthink we can get to the Grand Final,playing like we did against Fev in the NRC,and its stillthe same squad.

Yeah, keep Nanyn at left centre. LF is a problem position for us in my opinion. I actually like Armitstead, but he's not a LF.

McCarthy is the only loose we have, thats why its vital we have duffy at 9. The gamble card is Duffy at loose to play McConnell, but he needs to straighten play up to stop the defence first.

It's a thought. At worst it's a decent backup plan.

Thats wot I`m saying....we dont have the duel lads every week so we need other options to cover....like Higson to FB (played all his junior rugby in this position and will return the ball very well), this will cover Donlan.
