We played Wath Brow at the LSV this season in the Challenge Cup.

Looks like a Leigh/Batley v Keighley final.

I'd have been happy with a home tie against anybody, can't ask for any more than that. The fact that we're the Sky game makes it all the better from a personal point of view as I wouldn't have been able to make a Sunday game.

Would have taken anybody at home. Was made up when we came out the bag first! Batley are a good side but if we play to our potential we should have enough to make it through to Blackpool! Can't wait for the semi now

It will be just as tough for Batley though.

I think a lot will rest on the league game, to be honest. Batley will come to Leyth with a huge amount of confidence if they turn us over next week.

It depends on which coach values the most, the NRC or the league table. It depends on which coach is prepared to go for both or go for the main objective. Will one coach play reserves in the first game or the NRC semi final. It's gonna mind games and tactics to say the least. Will one coach go for the game that matters or will one coach be bold enough to go for both? Which scenario? No advantage in having to play twice in the same number of days. Just a question of how you achieve the best from two games.

A one point victory in each one will suit me fine! Don't think either club can afford to rest any players in either game, to be honest.

maybe a change of tactics in each game so the opposition don't find a way of combating our defense & attactting abilities.

Well i am on nights for the Thursday game, and the Sunday, don't know when my next game will be now.

However after last season the positive most definatly outweighs the negative

I never feel comfortable v Batley in games that matter.
I Would be happy with a 1 point win with a dropgoal in the 84th Minute

Could your nerves hold out though.

My own thoughts are that over the next two games against the Bulldogs we will win one and lose one. Wouldn't like to say which one we'd win though!

another point to consider, the fact we play batley next sunday means that no team has the advantage, in regard to rest days and things like that, fed up its a thursday, but would of been more fed up if we'd not been in the draw,

I have seen Batley live twice this season.

They are a competant and decent Championship side.

Our pack is better and their outside backs marginally quicker.
I feel we should win both games and I bet when the bookies odds/handicaps come out they will agree with me.

Now I have given up thinking refs are anti Leigh but I do hope Ronnie Laughton is not referee for either game because although he is just the same for both sides I find a lot of the decisions he makes odd. I wish it was Ganson to be honest I like his no nonsence approach.

frank, you forgot to mention, any leythers going on sunday to batley, avoid the beer in the bar, its downright horrible.

Was it Lee Marsh who chased down Kevin Penny over 20 yards in the same match? I remember it was somebody who wasn't very quick and nobody could believe he had caught him! Was thinking about that at 'Fax away this season when robbie paul chased down shad royston
