Peter Mayoh was decent. Ended up as player-coach of Newtown Jets in the Sydney Comp. Tanner and Stevens didn't exactly set the world alight, but we've had worse!

I always thought Tanner was useless... he only made three breaks - for his hat-trick against Keighley in a Regal Trophy game at Hilton Park.

He had this habit of never tackling anyone head on, he'd always try and tackle from the side and he was too slow to get there half the time.

He crossed my mind as well, how many games did he actually play for us 5/6 or not even that? Thinking back to our SL days, Kevin Henderson he only played one game for us!

i can't beleive somebody put harry pinners name in a worse team, the guy was a ball playing genius, he came to us at end of career and played was it 13 games or so, but it was a privledge to watch him play, we'd need more than just one team for all the poor/bad/ downright awful players we've had wear our famous shirt.

As long as Milton Huddart is in this team I am happy.................

Dom Feaunati -so bad even I blocked him out of my mind.
Leon Felton too was very poor. In fact we were cursed with poor wing performances in the lost grand finals

Gary Van Bellen and Danny Campbell. The worst two, bar none. Stephenson was the worst value, but these two were the worst players, ever, ever, amen.

I think Ferris played 4 games in the SL season.

Just thought of other players from that awful SL season - Chris Jones, lad we got on loan from St Helens, he played 2 games and signed a RU contract!

Steve McCurrie would get the prop place with Harmon moving to sub

David Riley was a pretty poor prop while Simon Jones was also fairly limited but at least you got effort from him.

I always thought Alan Mason got a raw deal.

He was a good player playing in a God awful Leigh team. Its true what Dave said about Chris Wilkinson but to be fair he was in the twilight of his career so was always going to be the steady away safe option. I believe Chris was also a tremendous 'clubman'.

Steve Cawley just suffered from stage fright IMHO, I don't think we've had a winger since his last game in 1994 with as much raw pace.

I think Steve Wynne was more or less finished when he signed for us - his shoulders were gone at Salford, but I agree with the previous poster, he was a talented footballer.

For me you can be disappointed with the likes of Fleary and McFlurrie-but they were well past their sell by date and out for one last paycheck so for that you have to blame the idiots that agreed to sign them.

Remember Tony Iro, how bad was he in a Leigh shirt, then went on to play for NZ.

Return of Potter, great first time, and a past it Brian Case.
