If we get a DC at centre we may not see Higson playing there regularly any way. I hope we see Blythe in a Leigh jersey next season again

Still think he may go with Littler and Nanyn at centre. I know Stuart has played in the back row a lot, but much of his Salford career has been at centre - a position where we have generally lacked specialists, these past three seasons.

we lacked speed & its common knowledge that Littler never passes so putting a speedy winger with Stu at centre would be wasted

I agree Frank but if the DC was Blythe then I'd use Higson to cover when Matty wasn't availble or if Nanyn had played poorly & I'd use Adam also as a cover winger too

Higson was probably our best back at the end of the season. Would like to see him given a good run of games (preferably at centre) to prove himself before selecting a DC player over him. I didn't see anything last season to convince me that Blythe is any better than Higson.

I would say that Higsions defence is better than Blythes and Adam is no slow coach.

Blythe is excellent in attacking but either one are good centre's until the complete squad is announced I can't say who I'd have where although if we sign Campbell I'd like to see Nanyn & Higson on the left & Blythe & Campbell on the right possibly

I wonder where Ian will use Maden? It's maybe worth considering thst Steve was our only player to figure in all games.

Madens a penalty machine.

Last season his discipline was very good' although the season before he was' and too many times when we had the possession.

He's the good old safe option but hopefully with the right signings he might not have his spot nailed on so tight next season & may end up more as cover but no doubt he'll be present through the season

Not last season. Good 100%'er, but hasn't got pace.

Maden does a lot of solid work, especially coming out from our own line. It seems Millward rates him and he's plays a lot of games for us. He doesn't have the pace of old but he can still finish a chance pretty well.

Steve Maden was one of our stand out players for me last season and deserves another crack. From being a penalty machine to a solid player is a sign of good coachng and an abillty to learn. More please Steve.

Think our team is really starting to come together now. If Gorski's trial goes well I would use it as an opportunity to move Taylor to prop. We have Nanyn/Maden competing for places in the backs and Govin can cover 6/7/9/13 if, and when injuries occur. I still wouldn't mind another prop or an out and out 13 though. I would like us to get a prop and a 13 on duels if possible.
