Are our existing halves on the move if we retain SL status? I'd really like to see Ridyard have a good stint in SL for Leigh.

Me too - he never really had a chance this season. I still think his skills would stand out at this level.

Alan, do you have any knowledge as to why the potent (Ridyard / Drinkwater) partnership from 2016 wasn't replicated in 2017? I've been scratching my head all year on this one as I'm sure Leigh would have been out of danger months ago had they kept the partnership.

Don't think for a minute that partnership was potent in regular season 2016. But we certainly had a fresh team going into the 8's.

No idea why Martyn fell out of favour. However, there always has been, and always will be, instances of players and members of coaching staff, not seeing eye-to-eye. I believe the lad truly wants to play for Leigh, but have no idea what the problem is/was. We are not privy to the goings on at the training ground.

Maybe it's just a coincidence that Huddersfield's season improved dramatically, when Martyn arrived there?

If you remember, they were 'down there' with us, looking for all the World that they were heading for the Middle 8's again, when their form suddenly took a turn for the better.

Now come on, I never said we had signed him. I said we had given him a very very good offer which he was giving considerable thought to. An offer eventually matched by Castleford and much nearer to his home as an additional attraction.

I stand by that. We were very close to landing him but ultimately no cigar. What a capture that would have been.

I am also a big fan of young Ridders, but him turning out for our first SL game looking like Ryan Duffy did him no favours.

That said , he worked very hard shifting the excess timber early season and should IMO have been given more opportunities. No question.

I've heard about the possibility of bryson goodwin NOT signing for Leigh for next season.

He, and all of the squad are effectively free agents if we lose on Saturday. So, yes, it is a possibility.

No Super League clause in Godwin's contract. He is a fully contracted Leigh RLFC 2018 player win or lose on Saturday.

Approx 7/1? No doubt he was integral to Huddersfield reaching the top 8 and safety.

Another club come in for Goodwin but they was told where to go so he will be at leigh whatever happens

And rightly so, a big asset for our top 8 SL aspirations

You are right what you are saying Ridyard came into the team just as Mamo was starting to fire and we got several players back from injury I have no doubt that he was a major influence in our rise into the top 8 he did a really good job for us a good pro and a good player to have in the camp I wish him all the best for next season and all at Leigh.I would have liked us to make his deal permanent but I think that went as soon as we signed Rankin
