Belting idea. Our lot are already planning on turning out for the game anyway & I'm sure others will be thinking the same, so it'd be fantastic if LISA could also benefit at the same time. And I'm sure you could encourage at least a few people to do what Frank suggested and donate the GF ticket price to LISA.

A big screen in a local social club, food laid on, predictor competition, first try scorer competition and a few quid to LISA for organising it.

Challenge someone book the room, ill do the lobby and sort out the fund raising on the day, or are we just saying donate the cost of a GF ticket as entrance?

I'd say call it two quid on the door and then a few optional fundraisers aside. Got to be realistic that not everyone wants to pay 14 quid to watch a game on telly, regardless of where the money is going.

I've sent a text to Wardy at the Lancastrian to see if there's owt booked for that day.

White Lion & Boars Head both show rugby games already and could put some lobby on, depending on numbers etc.

Isn't the game on Sky? You'll need a big room with Sky... Might rule a few places out. I would have said Twelve Apostles but they dont have Sky...

Are we a professional rugby team or a pub one?

If we cannot find a group of business men to take over we are in a bad way.

And the club needs to look why they cannot get investors,is it because of how the sport is run now with the 3 year franchise nonsense?

Were do the other clubs with smaller crowds than us find there investors?

Why do they invest in them and not us?

Until we find them answers[and no I don't know them or want to run a rugby club then I think we are just running around in circles.

Personaly speaking i'd be happy to see the corporate club or the group of business men who have been brought together by trevor barton running the club without them putting any money in.

We are a club in a small town , surrounded by some of the major football clubs in the world , not to mention 5 of the biggest RL clubs in England

We are playing in a stadium with no income streams other than through fans , in a competition we cannot play our way out of

The town we are in , has hardly any large national companies any more and no large scale employers

Why would anybody want to tip money into us
