Happy with that. Both from performance and result. Win our games against the championship sides and we get another crack at Wakey. I know which team will go into that one full of confidence! Providing we don't go down the negative trap of talking about the salary cap and Wakey's end of season signings and concentrate on ourselves!

You are easily pleased, Wakefield were there for the taking and we blew it.

Wakefield played well, how many handling errors did they make 2 or 3 ? We made a helluva lot, no complaints from me at the result.

I'd take heart from today if I were a Leigh fan a one point defeat against Wakefield shows you can match them it will all come down to the 4th v 5th game which will probably be Leigh v one of the SL teams two of which you've beaten in a one off game

If either team plays like that against Fax I think we will cause an upset. From what I have seen of both teams so far this year I think both we a long way off where they can be.

Riddy was shocking and Brierley showed he is not ready for super league and there's a few more besides. Wakefield are the worse team I've watched other than us in the middle 8s and that's no disrespect to them either just fact. How on earth can 6+ 7 play out in the centres for most of the game?. The ref was terrible and for what it's worth he didn't lose us that game. When you get a penalty in front of the posts you take two, if we had kicked it we would of won by one point, watched Riddy before kick off and he kicked every goal ( Back you self for God sake). Yes our rugby is great to watch at times but surely we need to play out sets of six once in a while to compete it's not rocket science. It works in the championship but not against super league clubs, they will punish you, No excuses Wakefield took the points and good on um I say, because I'm sure any Wakefield fan was chuffed to get that win with how they played. Poor game all round IMO if course.

We threw it away with some schoolboy errors and a couple of naive plays. Couldn't believe we didn't take a shot at goal when locked at 16 each. Couldn't believe we didn't stick the ball up our shirts near end of 1st half when we lost the ball and handed Miller 4 points. Need to build for promotion push next season. This season has gone. They have given us a good season and CC run. Seen some cracking tries and watched some cracking games but can't see us gaining promotion now.

Didn't go our way and Wakefield played well.
We now need to regroup Work hard in training and now go into lockdown mentality with 4 cup finals to come with the goal of that being the playoff Game.
Thus far we've been below par but we've also had the toughest fixtures of any club in this comp so some measured reactions needed with hard work on the training paddock.

Well' just home and thought that was a cracking game of RL....had everything....

Thought we won the arm wrestle in the first half with better ball control and discipline and even though behind at half time felt confident we would pull away in the final quarter with all that field position and territorial advantage in the first half taking its toll on your defensive efforts..

How wrong could I be...it was on a knife edge right to the hooter which is great credit to both sides workrate and will to win...

Really enjoyed it though...had a real cup tie intensity about it and somehow we found a way to cling on after Leigh threw everything at us...all the Leigh fans we walked past going in and coming out were very pleasant....just the one guy shouting to the car it was daylight robbery but there Ya go!



Hope we can get a few more good results in the next couple of games and finish top three because I don't know if I could handle the million pound game at home to Leigh....nerves couldn't take it...

Too many coach killers AGAIN. Its becoming a habit rather than a rarity. I'm with reffy. For 2nd time in 3 games WE managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

Leigh made too many errors today, especially ball in hand. Whatever the reason/s.

Wakey were there for the taking (they're still not a patch on Salford or Hull KR in my opinion) and we blew it.

Teams will be different in different games....you say we aren't a patch on Salford yet we should have best them at their place...with a bit more composure at crucial times we would have done...

It's probably our poorest performance attacking wise for quite a while...plenty of field position just couldn't unlock you at times....When Tim Smith is on his game we are far better than today...he was way off his best today...maybe the knee was playing up again...thought you closed him down well though...

You made a lot of errors today but defensively and your will to win could not be questioned at all....certainly surprised me a bit after the last round of games....maybe you improved in some areas from those but not in others? Think both coaches will feel their team could have played much better...enjoyed the closeness though and the game going right to the wire...

Know what you mean about Gregg's moaning - it's not as though the ref will change his mind either. However, he wasn't moaning all the time - Tim Smith was doing his share when anything went against Wakefield.

Giving the ball away after Kay's try and letting them in before half time was a monumental brainfart.

Wakefield were poor and still won. Tim Smith had an off day and usually dictates how well we play. With a stronger officiating team Leigh would have had 12 men and possibly 11 for another 10 as well. Next game they could be missing a couple so could get turned over in their next game.

I really wanted Leigh to win.
It's alright scoring great tries, but if you can't see the value of getting in front with a drop goal before Wakey did, then it's a bit poor.
And that is not hindsight by the way ... I thought that at the time.
