| There was an interesting incident at Warrington last night, when Higson was running the ball out from a kick. He took what looked like a swinging arm, went down, and stayed down, as if he was injured. I've not had the benefit of seeing a replay, but first impressions were that three Warrington players promptly dived on him. It turned out he wasn't badly injured, but did those three players know that?
Now I'm not defending Acton - what he did is indefensible in my opinion - but what if Higson had been badly injured, before those defenders dived on him? A not dissimilar scenario, in my opinion.

In the recent game at Leeds, we had two players 'in the Motion' of tackling McGuire! our players were both sin binned
As for the Blinkers I'm Leigh's biggest critic
I'm also not sure our players are being judged as others are?
Lets go back to Cats and see Hock 'In the Motion' of breaking Walsh's Nose ! You'll soon hear Sky Pundits sing a different Tune and, the Ref and Video Ref too

Perhaps Ben Reynolds can tell you, Glen Stewart tried to tell Ref Hewer
Hewer was too busy dreaming of his Hamburger later that night
I cant believe that James Child accompanied him and the other officials in the same Restaurant as me
last time I went to Cats, Childs came in there then
I'd been in a Bar round the corner at 10.30 the previous night and seen Childs Reffing at Castleford and, he turns up next day in Perpignan
he obviously likes the expenses! I wonder if we should Audit them

| Oh by the way, has anyone mentioned Sam Moa putting his Arm across Hewer's chest before he touched down?
From my seat in the ground he appeared to spin Hewer side ways allowing the Ball to roll forward?

I mentioned that, at the time. Looked an excellent hand off!

| I don't see the point moaning about other incidents it's our own dicipline and actons behaviour that as got it him hot water all season. If we was top of league winning every week there would not be a mention of the refs vendetta against leigh

I'm not happy with the way Jamie gets involved in silly situations however, I'm also not happy with the hysterical way the Media and some of our own fans are wanting the 'book' thrown at him!
My reason for quoting other incidents is to try and highlight some of the more serious offences which occur and, aren't given anywhere near as much bad reporting or punishment.
Jaime should receive a warning and a couple of Matches at the most!
Last comparison On Friday night Bennie Westwood was returning to the Wire after an absence, within ten minutes he's executed a Spear Tackle and gets ten minutes in the Bin! Bennie went on to have an influence in the game however, he's likely to receive a Ban now which doesn't help us! McShane at Cas, Rangi at Widnes,The three Cat lads and now Bennie are just some of the transgressors against us and their bans, have only helped other Clubs
The whole Disciplinary procedure needs overhauling because at the moment, the Spanish Inquisition (AKA Review Panel) is making a mockery of the on field officiating

"Jamie Acton (Leigh Centurions) following a request from Leigh Centurions, case will be heard next week in order for his Legal Representative to attend. The Chair accepted a request for an adjournment provided he did not play in any fixture prior to his case next week."
To be honest, not sure what good it's doing us keep putting it off.

Lucky the RFL didn't just say the hearing would go ahead with or without whoever is representing him present.

| I personally think using delaying tactics won't help the cause. Acton must of been advised by legal team to buy time to gather more evidence I honestly think he will get 8 games

Well I reckon he may well get a reduction on that - possibly 4 or so.
Panel don't seem to be strong when challenged (Houston springs to mind), think we have slipped up (McNally) by not doing so previously- maybe we are trying a different tact now

Anything worth a try on this incident pal I know it was not as bad as it looked but the RFL will have to be seen taking no prisoners on this one. I hope he gets four we will need him in middle 8s

| On last weeks review Panel there are Eighteen names with only one charge! Jamie
The 'offences' range from, Standing on an opponent! Late tackle! Use of Knees! Dangerous Contact! Tripping! Shoulder Charge! Striking with Elbow ....... and so ! all these charges have brought no action I wonder what the decisions would have been had Jamie commited them?

| Trouble is, he has 'form', and that counts against him. (unlike some of the other SL players who continually get 'NFA' and therefore will never have 'form'! )
The ridiculous thing about Acton is that so many of his misdemeanours are for 'silly' offences, rather than outright violent ones!

That's why the severity of the Bans/Punishment doesn't fit the 'crime'

I tend to agree - the prime example being the four games he picked up as a result of pushing Flanagan in the back last season. Did you see Ratchford push a Leigh player in the back, on his try making run late in last Friday's game? It was completely harmless, but had the same 'potential for injury' as Acton's push on Flanagan.

| I don't think the adjournments will do Leigh any favours no matter what the defence of his actions the RFL will look to throw the book at him and he will probably get 10 matches (less the two hes already missed) I remember Timmy once appealing a big ban and getting an extra game !

| The RFL will have two objectives in mind when they finally hear his case
A) They take the welfare of players extremely seriously in a tough collision sport
B) It is the pratt Acton back before us again for the 10th time in 18 months, unable to learn any valuable lessons.
