On the flyer that was given to me when I bought our STs it did mention the 3rd round of the CC I think, but the club was unsure if that was actually the case

I agree no Championship club even at full strength should be able to live with a SL club, BUT saying that at the end of the day it's 17 v 17 and who knows what could happen, but with the talent pool being larger in SL it shouldn't.

It's happened before plenty of times. If we got Wakey at home i'd be confident.

Fax managed to get a draw the other season and barra beat cas so it can happen.
It just needs the sl club to have a seriously bad day.

I'd say there's one upset every year in the 4th round, if we have a good day and play one of the bottom 3 or 4 SL teams, we'd have a good chance.

Have you tried the official Challenge Cup Website or the RFL website. I know I looked the other day and couldn't find anything

Someone on the fax board has contacted the rfl and they've told him
a decision will be made at the end of the week with regards to the draw for the next round.

Non Relegation league clubs are not in the next round.

To make money out of the Challenge cup we need to have 2 home draws in the next 2 Challenge Cup rounds and then draw the Pies or Wire at the LSV always assuming the last two clubs I have mentioned make it through their first Challenge cup tie.

Championship season ticket holders get the 3rd round free, Super League season ticket holders get the 4th round free. There is a certain amount of compensation from the RFL to make up for lost earnings in the event of taking bugger all over the gate against a Super League team in the 4th round, but if memory serves me right it's only a couple of grand and as such I think we'd be much better served if you could get through the next two rounds before drawing a Super League team.

No mention of that on the leaflet i got when i picked my season ticket up.

Financially i think your right.personally speaking though,i'd sooner get it out the way then we can concentrate on the league and NR cup.

Seems a shame that its a struggle to find out what day the draw takes place of one of RL's major cup competitions.
Its the little things like this that RL needs to improve on.

Yeah, but the point is, that due to the season ticket 'free CC game' scenario you wouldn't make as much drawing a SL team in the 4th round as the 5th. Best bet would be Miners in the next round, then Widnes at home in the 4th round, then pies or wire in the 5th.....then after that I'm not bothered who we draw in the quarters and semis!!
