When was the last time WIGAN and leigh where top of their leagues ?

Good solid performance tonight considering the games played and travelling done over the last week.
Batley were a well organised and fired up team who certainly thought they could get something from the game. I was glad we kept them out for that spell in the second half which I think broke their spirit eventually.
That was a really tough game to win by 20 + points after the Toulouse excursion and I am proud of the effort of the players, coaching staff , club and the fans.
Hopefully we can keep the momentum going and see what the season brings.

i'll live with 5 straight wins at the start of the league campaign.
Our defeat at leigh in the nrc won't affect daryl's plans for sheff on sunday or any other game in the league.
This season is shaping up nicely and you'd have got decent odds on fev and leigh being the form teams after a quarter of the league season, tho barrow are now finding some form and widnes have only dropped 2 points!
A close season, and if fev win sunday will return back to the top.
Means jack tho. The only table that means owt is the one after 20 games!

What is it with this "dump of a ground" routine you and others bang on about? We have a ground owned by the club that is in dire need of renovation, we understand its failings far more than you do. There are a number of iniatives looking at financing the works we believe are required in order of priority and funds available (I make no reference to SL requirements here as they are very subjective).

However I have to say that as much of a dump as CP is, I am never depressed by the thought of attending games there in the way I would be were I turning up at the LSV, Shay or Stobarts. Why?, because the 3 grounds mentioned are huge concrete reminders of the clubs MASSIVE FAILURE! You have lost the lot and only have somewhere to play through the charity of tax payers in the Leigh borough, 95% of which do not attend your matches! Yet many of you seem to think your presence at the LSV affords your club some kind of merit, like you had something to do with it!!! Stop kidding yourselves, you can't haide the facts...

Not sure what your context for the prefix "LITTLE" Barrow but I am sure you will invent some dreary invective to try an justify it.

As for the comment about Leigh's attendance at CP last season...50, 70 tops, there were 40 odd stood behind the sticks singing "yer just a town full of seagulls" and a few stragglers around other areas.

Finally, I am not trolling, I merely responded after one of Leigh's fans got carried away with himself, left the banter behind and decided to be insulting.

I actually like Barrow I have family there.

Re our following to Barrow there was a full coach at least one minibus' which took Leigh's Salmon Army' they stayed overnight in Ulverston if I recall correctly. Myself and three family members went by car and stopped the night. There would have been others who travelled by car too and I personally know a Leyther who went on his motorbike and stayed over also.
A lot of us where so embarrassed with our side's pathetic performance we mingled on the popular side and kept very quiet.
