Well if you want a cracking pint then there is only really the wetherspoons, if you want a beer near the ground then any of the baove named will do the job, depends what you want.

Think you're doing a massive dis-service to the Boar's Head and even the Goose there.

last time i went into the goose it was truely a awful pint, the boars head, not been in for sometime, so again can't comment, all i know is since ken took over the boars head, its imo not been as good as when he had the muskateer, now there was a top pub. in general the spoons in leigh has been excellent over the last 3 or 4 months i have been in it, good choice of beer, and excellent qwuality, at a very reasonable price

The Black Sheep bitter in the Goose was excellent on Sunday, everyone has their own tastes though i suppose.

Black Sheep on cask was excellent in the Goose on Sunday, and I believe they had Brains SA prior to that. There was another one as well but can't remember the name. Better ambience than Spoons as well IMHO.

Think I'll give the goose a try before the game. Not been in there for ages

I got a lift to last years friendly but I am driving down sunday

Plenty of free parking at the ground with stewards on so its safe.

Plenty of free parking on-site, and more than enough stewards to direct you as well!

I went to Grassington recently for a few days and the Forresters did one of the best bitters (Black Sheep Best) I had supped for a good while

Well is was excellent on Sunday.

Wasn't bad at all. Asda sell bottles of Black Sheep as well. Off to Harrogate tomorrow so hoping I'll be able to find a pub selling it round there.
