| Quote ="Vancouver Leyther"York making a bunch of us sweat right now up 10-16 after 55 mins.
More importantly a Sheff Win is better for our team.
Come on Sheff (for the better of the team of course
)'"
Bongser didn't sweat, VL, but he did even more swiggin' than usual. Out on the lash with the "lickle" lass as B&B turned 53 today - La Jeunesse (who has now retired to a rum and coke smelling cot) couldn't find one of those big, red badges for your correspondent. Life stinks as you get older!
Then again, 21 year old Bongsette major stayed up with her ol' Pa last night to see in his B'day (may she never see in his bidet) and even supped some of the raft of ale she'd thoughtfully bought him. Good times after all.
Glad you made it Chayders.

| Happy Birthday Bongser. Hope your head is clear by Sunday.
It’s going to be a busy weekend of watching scores and listening to our beloved Leyth on Sunday morning. I won’t be moving up the prediction table this weekend but there is a chance that Leyth could move up the Champ table.
Up The Comics !

| Thank-you, Vanners, for your birthday wishes. As it happens, Bongser recovers from hangovers pretty quickly - by drinking more.
Today's defeat might take a few extras, mind. Was getting used to winning again (Leythe that is, not Bongser)

| [uROUND TWENTY ROUND UP:[/u
York’s Friday night win at Sheffield caught out two thirds of the field, no pokemons this week for Pubbers, Charlie, EVVO, Zools, Vanners or Chayders.
Saturday evening saw The Trannies trounce ‘Fax to move another two points closer to clinching the almost inevitable League Leaders’ Shield. All were present and, in this instance, all correct.
The same evening saw a predictable win for The Bulls in Toulouse. Bongser calls this a predictable win because “dare to be different” Atomic predicted it – huzzay! No beggar else did though! No correct margins for the games thus far.
Pokemon still on for ‘Tommers and York City up into second overknights. Leigh down to fourth. How would they respond? On Sunday, Bongser donned his newly laundered Leigh shirt and added water to the window-ledge glass!
Half-time in the featured Sunday games saw a total points haul of 138 which extrapolated to an FT 276 would see Charlie collecting the BBQ max of 25 points.
HT also saw a narrow two point lead for Leigh. They hadn’t made the most of the slight slope and had left themselves an uphill battle for the rest of the game. Would the Leigh faithful, towards which the team were now to play, be able to suck them up the gradient? Things didn’t begin well! Things stayed unwell despite completing his (now seemingly [ide rigeur[/i brace – four on the bounce) to add to Cory’s pair. Had Chisholm not out-kicked Ridy, Leythe would have had at least a point. Ah, those might’ve beens! Well done to Chayders for successfully flying solo. No pokemons this week.
Bongser’s Cherry & White Magic was thwarted this week by a counter-spell coming from behind the sticks. That flat cap has a curse on it Charles – why do you think Slytherin gave it to you? Such cursed items also work against their bearer though! With a BBQ winning score of 306, Chas got the BBQ wooden spoon this weekend. 25 points to Zools for a mere 4 pts out. He was followed by EVVO (18 scored) and thine host (15).
Barrow came up short at Dewsbury (points for only Pubbers, Caroli, Atomic & EVVO) as did Batley at (or rather against) Swinton (this time points for only Pubbers, Zools, Vanners & Wanderer). In the latter of those two games, Pubbers distinguished himself with a correct margin. 10 more to him and a further 50 for the exactamundo score! EVVO decided it was time to move up the table by predicting a Swinny draw. EVVO, Bongser has learnt to his many time cost that they never draw should anyone suggest they will!
Widnes strolled though ‘Dale (at least in the second half). All bar “dare to be different” Atomic expected that – it doesn’t always work, sorry mate. Over the closed season, Bongser will do a study of how the proposed “Idiot” bonus would skew the table in order to set a number of points for said bonus. Two out of three would have been awarded this round. There were indeed two extra 10s awarded for correct margins though. Well done to VL & Zools.
WWB (25) goes to The Publican – drinks all round please, sirrah!
[uRANKINGS:[/u
In the present podium places, both Wanderer & Bongser reduced the gap to The Clown by a mere (unlucky) 13 points so it’s as you were there.
Chazzer 1,361 Jjjjj
Bongser 1,300 jjjj
Wanderer 1,294 JJjjjj
Vandaman 1,166 Jjjjj
Pubbers (up a place) 1,121 Jjjjj
Zools 1,096 JJJjjjj (the main Joker hoarder)
EVVO 1,047 JJjjjj
Chayders 893 JJjjjj
‘Tommers 777 JJjjjj (clawing himself a point closer to CL)
Puntables out soon.

[uKEY TO THE DOOR ROUND ROUND UP:[/u
First and foremost it should be noted that, previously ever present (over two seasons) Atomic could not be “DRAWN” to the table this week despite two PMs (still unread as Bongser preps this post in Word). It is very much unlike A to be offline for so long and we must hope that all is okay with him and his.
Zools also missed the first game. Bongser will not reveal the content of his PMed apology but will state that he recalls being a toddler and being stripped and washed whilst mainly sitting on the draining board of the kitchen sink at Ol’ Gramps & Grannie Bongser in Bedford. Zools, do you live in Lowton near Pennington or Lowton, Pennsylvania?
To Rugby.
Bongser does not have SKY. He does not follow Oz RL, knows very little about it and was, therefore being very open handed on the BBQ this weekend.
He did, however, do a little research and looked up the Ozzy clubs, their results, standings, locations and histories. The Wiki page for Illawara contains details of all sports commonly played there. One of the ones mentioned revels in the name of “Sambo Wrestling”. Your correspondent’s mind boggled. He recalled reading of the Dwarf Throwing World Championship (complete with b/w pics) in same Gramps’ Daily Mirror (some years on from being a toddler it must be stressed). When looked into further, it seems that said wrestling is not un-PC whilst still remaining extremely violent.
No less than three Jokemons played this week – Pubbers, Wanderer and Vanners. The early KOs this week proved no problem for all three and samesies for all others present. No correct margins in those games but a mention in despatches for Cheadle Leyther (dignified with full Sunday name, rank & serial number) who was closest on both of the Saturday matches.
Onto Sunday, a massive day for British sport:
Bottas had taken pole from Hamilton by 0.006 seconds in qualifying for the British Grand Prix. That’s six one thousandths of a second, F1’s version of Golden Point to avoid a DRAW. As it transpired Hamilton gained a record sixth GBGP in an, as ever, flawed race. Bongser hadn’t enough devices on which to watch or listen to all today’s sporting action, so he sacrificed this multi-billion spondoolix, shoddy product for the others.
Championship RL.
Approaching HT, the scores as they stood would’ve seen not just three Jokermons blown out of the water, but everybody bar Chayders (again) zilch out on ALL the Sunday games. At least the thing that changed was a score and a slender lead for Leigh before the turn around!
Our lads went on to win reasonably comfortably (ahem) to give all another five points. CL this time joint closest on the margin alongside EVVO. The former playing a blinder.
Quote ="charlie caroli" Fax 14 v Widnes 26,I hope I’m wrong here though,I want Widnes to score 40.

That would have seen a DRAW, Charles, and no one would have scored any points. Widnes didn’t score a “double score” and Chayders (him again) flew solo in correctly going for a ‘Fax win. Were it next season, he would have collected the proposed “Idiot” bonus. He was however the only one to scoop five in that match. Bravo to him!
Zilch per tutti in the match at Odsal. This from last week’s summary:
Quote ="Bent&Bongser" EVVO decided it was time to move up the table by predicting a Swinny draw. EVVO, Bongser has learnt to his many time cost that they never draw should anyone suggest they will! '"
Swinton are the Looby-Loos of this WPL – they only dance or DRAW when Andy & Teddy are out of the room! Still, a stunning result for them.
ANOTHER DRAW at Mount Unpleasant saw all zilch once more. When was the last time there were two DRAWS in one Championship round? Bongser texted Aggers (who used to be pretty good at stats) but received the reply “Sod off, I’m busy at Lords”.
The DRAW phenomenon continued there. A DRAW after fifty overs apiece, a DRAW after the Super Over. It also continued at The All England Club with the men’s final going beyond the distance.
BBQ? EVVO bang on (25 points), Chayders (1icon_cool.gif, followed by Vanners (15) – Bongser keeping himself off the podium by applying his own rules correctly as they had DRAWN but VL had posted earlier.
Though Chayders deserved to at least DRAW this week (great performance, matey), the WWB goes to EVVO.

Apologies for this late Round Up. Bongser et la Jeunesse celebrated five years together earlier this week by going for a good few drinkies and a meal in Mcr. Bongser had meant all day to look up what the 5th anniversary was called (cotton, paper, that sort of thing). Romantic that he is, Bongser treated her to a chauffeured, purple liveried, double-decker, stretch limo (with the personalised reg plate “V2”) back to The Towers. The fifth is apparently wood – so, bless him, this “lover” gave her some!
That last bit for VL.

The bbq question is simple if you are drinking Draft Turps , myself I refrain from these beverages so it’s a puzzling question.
Now it been explained, it’s obvious, and I didn’t need Bongser to explain it,the guy next door but one has just been released from Rampton ,he worked it out straight away.
Anyway I’m going for a decent crowd to welcome the signings, 4,101 , to show Derek we care.

Didn't think it was that cryptic. Okay, translated: Leigh are back at LSV for the first time in yonks. What will the attendance be?
