You are all clearly too eager to believe Beaumont that you would read a statement like that and believe it! Last week he was off to Canada, now it is the Bulls. He is talking absolute rubbish to try and paper over the cracks that he himself has caused in your squad. He really never fails to deliver does old Derek! Who better to blame than the league rivals?

If turns out to be true and I were Ryan Brierley I would be suing the club for slander/libel for making him look greedy and disloyal by publishing an admitted private conversation.

Irrelevant. Before the May deadline any contact with a contracted player has to go through the parent club first.

Seeing as Derek and the board found out through Neil Jukes who only found out off Brierley after the offer had already been made, I am guessing this procedure wasn't followed.

If the clause is enforceable or not is basically irrelevant now. He has show he is willing to jump ship to our biggest rivals, at a time when the squad is crippled with loads missing players all for a few extra quid. He simply cannot be allowed to play for us again and doesn't deserve to pull on our shirt with that attitude. Best we can hope for now is to get a few quid for him and send him to a club where he isn't likely to play against us in the middle 8's.

Its irrelevant really whether Ryan or his agent approached Bradford. Subject to operational rules they unable to make an offer or even talk to him without permission of the Leigh club.

No he wasn't. Players were approached to go to Canada. Ryan clearly isn't one of them. Brierley has been wanting to go to SL for years, he wasn't going to drop DOWN a division and move to Canada to play Champ 1.

Ryan put in to leave the club Monday (whether the contract)yet was still patting the badge after scoring v Bradford on Sunday.

If Brierley wants to go just do a straight swap for gaskill,don't get me wrong Brierley can go 60 yard on a loose ball but gaskill can kick put players through a gap and also lead a team round the park so for me it's a no brainer

We went to Warrington with a bid. Warrington informed Mickey about the bid and he said he would like to go to Leigh. Wire and Leigh came to an agreement and we paid 50k for him.

All done in the proper way and all done through his parent club at Wire as the rules state.

Bradford already have a player that can do that. What we need is a player with a bit of flare and speed to burn to play off him.

I would agree that's a fair point of view.
However, DB is currently a public relations disaster.
Last year we had a very happy camp....in a few months we seem to be losing the plot.
These club statements are mostly cringeworthy....being legally in the right doesn't necessarily let you make friends and influence people.

I bet that's exactly as it happened.

The trouble with all these tapping up allegations are that they are very difficult to prove. Bradford had something similar happen to them a few seasons ago with Huddersfield and Craig Kopczak. We were adamant that he had been tapped up, but couldn't prove it.
It was only when Keith Mason took the Giants to court over a completely separate matter that the truth came out when some club officials were under oath in court.

Even then, despite that, the rfl took an absolute eternity to do anything about it and Craig remained a Giants player. Off the top of my head, I don't think the Bulls received any compensation or anything.

I will be very surprised (and disappointed) if the Bulls have made an illegal approach, but I will be even more surprised if Leigh and Derek manage to prove it.

If we are to believe what Warrington, Leigh, Mickey Higham and his agent said then yes, that is what happened.

If we believe what Sensei-Bull from the internet has speculated then maybe not.

I'm going to go with the former.
