Personal issues ?

Having only spoken to those close to him and not directly to Mark yet, I'm reluctant to post reasons on a forum. Dirty linnen in public n'all that. and even then, I'd be hesitant at posting anything that could damage the club.
Safe to say, I believe it's more of an an internal matter and absolutely nowt to do with policy direction of the game/RFL etc.
I hope he re-considers.

We rely too much on such people. Dez, Mark and your chair etc - without their cash, the club has to downsize their costs!
Unless our clubs can build up the crowd sizes significantly so, I'm afraid some players who can't get gigs in SL will find the financial reality that is biting everybody else's @r_se, will start to have a nibble of theirs.
Fax have reduced their costs this year. Dez's pockets do have bottoms to them - despite the popular misconception.
We may have to trim next term as I suspect Leigh will.

I have stated all along that the break even at the LSV is 4,000 paying spectators , it was around 2,800 at Hilton park , I'd have thought slightly less at PO road , which leads me on to looking at the crowd for Fax's visit on sunday

Leigh have trimmed their playing wage bill this season. That was the reason for one or two players looking elsewhere. However, there is always scope to cut costs I suppose.

Only going off the Championship ' stats ' at the top right hand Robin , it did seem very low

The thing is Alan , maybe one of these days all clubs will start to look for more sustainable long term income streams than just playing games of RL , then they might actually start to get somewhere

Crowd at Fev was 1337 in League Weekly. Well known for its misprints, obviously. Louise Anderson was a cracker a couple of weeks ago.
