I didn't realise this rumour was based on a source so close to the RFL headquarters. Feeling far more confident now.

so if anone from the club had said 'Thats it folks we are going down' they would have been accused of defeatism, some you lose some you cant win, or is it dammned if you do and damned if you dont?

I'm well and truly over the initial feeling of confirmed relegation sinking in.

In fact, I urgently need to book York, London and Blackpool weekend trips around work - How soon after the playoff's are complete do the Championship 1 fixtures arrive?

The club should try and arrange some cheap accomodation and travel for all these and get a good following!!

The club shouldnt spend a minute of time or a penny trying to boost gates of our competitors, indeed we should encourage fans not to go away and donate the money to the club instead. Remember it does nothing for Leighs SL bid to take 800 to Blackpool.

I wasn't suggesting don't try to get home supporters in but people were moaning not long ago that we should have been putting the free coaches like gateshead on all year

No they were suggesting that the home club should provide financial help to encourge as many away fans to attend as possible

Maybe on here but there were quite a lot on the day at gateshead saying they should have done this all year!

I'm sure they were , many people do like something for nothing

More the comments at the LISA meeting with 7/8 games to go when it was plain to see we were still showing relegation form but the clubs below us were starting to show top 3 form

Now I know as well as you that sometimes what is said in private is different to what you say in public , however to dismiss the possibility of us being in a relegation fight was a mistake at that time in my opinion and in fact looked a touch arrogant

Wether that had any bearing on our eventual finishing position is a ' mute point ' now

or even a moot point

Must admit I don't think they needed to say anything, the signing of players though did probably say 'we are staying up' to many , even though the displays on the pitch said 'we are going down'



On a seperate theme am I the only one looking forward to next season visiting some grounds we havn't been in for ages (or what seems like ages ! !)
