I said that earlier in the week. Gateshead would be in the top six if they had started the season with that squad. Bring on Fax at home on Bank Holiday Monday. Hopefully Mark Gleeson will revert to type and ensure the Fax lads get completely smashed on their challenge cup final "bonding session"

I heard him too - sick of being at the mercy of bad refs decisions! But if it's true that he was told to shut up whilst the ref was being buddy with the Gateshead coaches then that's disrespectful and a disgrace!

Was Halloran the ref when we lost at Fev in the NRC?.

The number of times this season I've seen decisions go against us when the opposition have had a word with the official who obviously haven't seen what has happened.
Like the last home match - the ref in the first half was diabolical - did they give him an eye test at half time which would explain why he wasn't on in the second half. Also the change of ref just shows how much influence they have on the results!!!

Great to have some atmosphere at a game. Bit amazed at comments complaining about calling the thunder mascot, since when has it not been allowed to give the oposition some stick??

A few weeks ago I couldn't see us getting another point. After the drubbing that Gateshead gave us at home I thought all was lost. Today I feel a bit more optimistic

Feel sorry for Tony Stewart tonight, the guy was on a hiding to nothing after being thrown in at 6, and in all fairness it did help to keep our defence relatively solid early on, but why oh why put a fringe-playing centre at stand off when we've got Jamie Durbin sat on the bench?!

Because other than Watto, our remaining half backs couldn't tackle a bag of crisps! I'd just like to say that Watto with his tackling has saved us a fair few tries this season. Without doubt, the player of the season IMHO

But if we concentrate on who can tackle rather than who create points, we're on a slippery slope. This afternoon was the fourth time this season that I've seen Gateshead in the flesh, and every time they've looked vulnerable when their opposition have 'gone' for it, rather than concentrating on trying to keep them out. Their defence is as poor as their attack is superb.
