I might do but I must say that photo wouldnt compare with the one I have with the Grand Final trophy.

That said at this rate you will be catching us up as the most successful team in the league when it comes to major trophies over the last few years.

Last season and the seasons before are history now, we've a complete new board of directors who are committed to a sustainable long term vision, so winning the cup so early in our tenure was a massive boost to us. We've an ambitious young British coach and a very committed squad of players which we will build on and improve for next season playing out of a state of the art sporting village (many including people within the RFL believe are the finest facilities in RL) and are putting some serious plans in place (which I may add have been laid out in front of and seriously impressed the RFL top brass) for the coming seasons and beyond so we should hopefully be looking forward to battling it out in the new structures for a SL spot with you in the years to come.

I have a lot of time for Halifax and hope you bring your A game tomorrow night and good following and help make it a good atmosphere which both sets of players deserve.

Almost forgot the most important bit, we have a RL community and junior/ amateur teams that are second to none and some of the finest and most loyal fans in RL.

Charlie will be there , as usual cheering the lads on , hope we get a good crowd , and maybe a few who haven't been to the LSV for a while

a win tomorrow will put pressure of Fax and give us a good chance to aim at 3rd place in the League , lets forget about the Radio , come and watch the lads LIVE , its a great experience.

As I still off work (holiday) today is the first time in ages I have been around Leigh town centre, I've taken someone to the Doctors at the hospital, the little ASDA, Wilkinson, and a few other places and to be honest I was quite disappointed how little of a presence Leigh RL has in the community. The only thing I saw that was new to me was the "Believe in Leigh" sign on the floor near McD's.

At some of the places there were some kind of Community board, promoting healthy eating, fitness, walks, children's well being, etc.

Couldn't/Shouldn't the club be having posters up in these areas not only promoting the games but offering health and fitness advice? Especially in places like the Doctors/hospital where people just sit waiting.

What do we currently do in the wider community, are we in contact will any Community or disabled centres, Do we send a DVD to the Hospice?

Shouldn't we be trying to win the hearts and minds of the whole community?

If you or anyone else wishes to collect a match DVD and deliver it to the Hospice every week I'm quite willing to provide one. But dont we want people to get better?

I will happily deliver one it's only a slight detour on my way to/from work.

And don't the Leythers in there have families that visit?

As your aware we are just over two months into our tenure as a new Board of Directors.

We have in a short space of time had to deal primarily with the take over itself and the legal obstacles and issues which come with it not to mention clearing of debts paying of staff and players and keeping the club not just going but winning games. Thanks to Paul and the players we got the bonus of a Cup win so early in our tenure but a lot of hard work went into that and they needed paying they don't do it for the love of it so lets not lose sight of how far we have come in short space of time please.

One thing that became very evident to us as BOM within the first week or so of being involved was the lack of resources and staffing generally. We rely primarily still on a very dedicated group of volunteer's (myself and the rest of the BOM are also volunteer's as we take nothing for our time and services and pay for our own tickets, meals and travel as a point of principle).

Rome wasn't built in a day we are all working hard for the remainder of the current season but its next year when we really will implement our new strategies with additional budgets and resources (subject to income more fans more resources and players) and increased advertising and new ST deals and incentives etc.

Its been tricky to say the least but on the whole a reasonable start id like to think when you throw in the mix a cup final to organise and sell (which I can tell you brings everyone associated with the club additional workload).

We've implemented a new club TV channel.

We've launched a communications group and while in its infancy its really improved social media and local and national press coverage already.

We've built a strong relationships with senior council representatives which enabled us to work with them and secure the "Believe in Leigh" campaign (at no cost to the club).

We've built a very strong rapour with the RFL. Id be confident to say as a club we've never been looked upon any better than we are now by the RFL and the BOMs relationship with them is now a very good one.

While independent and we cant take any credit we have supported the launch of the Leigh Centurions Community Foundation which is a fantastic concept and is going from strength to strength and its branding and everything it does is in the name of Leigh Centurions.

Sunday we have a community event day O2 day (Fully sponsored by O2).

For the Whitehaven game at home we will partner Leigh Community Group in the name of charity (Braiden Lee Prescott) which entails a three day fund raising campaign which culminates in a fun day on the concourse of LSV on match day with all attendees attending the match in a designated part of the West Stand (most will be new fans who have never been to LSV I am informed by the group).

Also on a community front we are working hard with our local amateur teams and community clubs and Id like to think they are starting to gain some trust in the BOM and they see we really do care and genuinely want to build a community club.

Its been a very testing few months for us all and we've even managed to keep our own businesses going in-between



We've exchanged emails and id love to meet up soon and discuss ideas and thoughts with you and would love to rely on your help moving forward.

The above said not making excuses we appreciate lots of hard work to be done and rest assured we are up for the challenges that lie ahead just hope the fans back our plans.

I know the good work you and the others are doing, and I hope the events you have planned are a great success, I wasn't knocking them my concern is do the wider community know about them? I saw nothing in Leigh town centre today telling me about the events you mention, admittedly I didn't go to the 02 shop or the stall on the market so they could be advertising the event.
