It just seems a bit strange that all the organising for the parade is enticing kids (via schools or sports clubs) who have probably never been to watch Leigh, which I'm not knocking for one minute and is a great initiative. But stalwart child season ticket holders are left to their own devices to try and get involved.

Yes Keith and big numbers confirmed from LMR also great to see both clubs getting behind such a special day.

We have representation also from Leigh RU, Leigh Utd FC, Leigh Cricket Club, Leigh Community FC, Golborne Parkside, Westhoughton Lions just to name a few and will also have representation from the Scouts and hopefully some Karate clubs also.

The Trust have also engaged many schoolchildren from the area who will also take part.

Should be a great day and one which should fill us all with pride to see so many youngsters involved with our club.

Shame about the attendance figure. Suppose that's the death nell for Saturday games next season. Especially on the back of such a well organised and advertised match.

That includes the 400 free kids tickets and the 400 free parents tickets.

Kids tickets where complimentary, parents £7.

Take those out and 2,500 is still very respectful for a dead rubber. And that's even considering a lot of the parents must have paid. That's said, Saturday 3pm would be my very last choice of kick off time, even after turning up today.
