I thought all were top class tonight and Armstrong was on fire until he couldn't continue and Sam, well what can you say he held it together and played like a demon

Magnificent! We all knew that they would play with passion and give it a good go,but wow,that was something else.

I loved what Jamie Peacock said "we weren't better just fitter with full time training, we were worried" and Brian McDermot said when he said "we didn't play badly we played well" ..... So Proud

I'm devastated played like demons with passion and lots and lots of heart and desire can't believe we lost AWESOME defensive display .
Every single player and member of the coaching and back up team can hold there head up high and say we pushed one of the Worlds number 1 RL teams to the Wire
and where unlucky Well Done Leigh now rip that Championship to pieces you have the skill and desire from fullback first team all the way thro to every single player in the reserves RESPECT THAT WAS SOMETHING ELSE

Hugely proud to be a Leyther. Well done to all the TEAM at Leigh, for producing an excellent advert for Rugby League. Never thought I would be in the position to say 'if only....' against Leeds!

Couldn't go but watched it on t'telly, surprised neighbours didn't call t'police the way I was shouting at the screen!!

Must confess all the way through I thought Leeds would have too much for us in the end. That's until about 10mins from time - 12-12 and we were right on their line I said to the Mrs "Bluddy 'ell, we're gonna win this!"

Think if Brierly or Riddy could have knocked over a drop goal at that stage it might have been enough.

Looks like we'd a lot of walking wounded at the end, hope everybody's OK for Wednesday.

Awesome performance guys,you should be over the moon the way your team took it to Leeds.
Such a shame a drop goal wasn't possible with 10 mins to go.
Must have been 20 folk all watching and willing Leigh on in our pub,screaming and shouting at the TV.

Two up, two down would only work if there's two teams ready to come up every year. In theory, we could end up with four up, four down anyway.

I'm ready to burst with pride with what our lads did out there last night. We achieved beyond my wildest expectations and every one of those lads are heroes.

What a fantastic game, just matched one of the best teams in the country, there's not many Super League sides will go to Headingly and run Leeds that close. They've done the club, the fans, the town and themselves very proud indeed.

Commiserations on losing but my god what a fantastic performance the Leigh team put up. Stand out team in the Championship and you showed why last night.

Riddy just like an international stand off of the Willie Horne or John Woods era. Armstrong fantastic and Wilkes unbelievably brave. Everybody SL class
Unfortunately, Peacock still world class and b***** hard too.

Kept telling myself "we can't win this......can we?"
And despite an unbelievable flattering scoreline of 25-12 for Leeds...WE ALMOST DID.
Have I ever 'enjoyed' a game as much, where we lost......in 40 years of watching Leigh - doubt it.
Oh, and Jamie Peacock was immense, just as well for them lot.

My youngest daughter and her husband watched it on Sky.

They are both coming on Wednesday with my grandson who incidentally scored for the Miners under 8's last night.



He still likes Man U though but I am working on that.
