Not really surprising.

Might have made more of a challenge for second if they'd fired him off a while ago.

Missed out on a top 2 finish...have done the maths and realized they have overspent...oops!

No real surprise , but the rumours about Funds , unpaid bills and training facilities are very worrying , I like Fax but feel they could have some troubled waters ahead .I hope im wrong though .

Spot on, probably should have gone months ago but hung on by the skin of his teeth.

Fax have got a pretty decent team signed up for next season and hopefully with a decent coach we can challenge for 4th spot.

From What I heard today some of those decent signings for next year have been told they can't now honour the contracts

Yes....whino woy is back, guess he hasn't had any occasions to take the **** out of Leigh Centurions this season....so Fax it is.

Fax have a great squad and if Murrell gets a tune out of them they could be a very dangerous side to face in the play offs.

I believe Batley will beat Doncaster simply because they have to so I think Fax finish third so every chance still of reaching the GF more so now with this change IMO.

I can't see Batley beating Doncaster quite honestly as they played some good stuff when they played Fax last week.

Fax's half backs are poor imo and defensively they were poor too.

We've got the second best defence in the league. Numbers not your forte obviously lad.



Our problem - we are poor in attack. Lacking cohesion and confidence. The lads look as though they have only just met each other. The club has a serious lack of useable facilities and (as you lot know only too well) the finances are drying up as the main benefactor is currently looking to exit the club.

Some say this couldn't have come at a worse time but I rather this happened now BEFORE the club started fannying around trying to get into SL. I am told the club is relatively debt free and the current (ageing) directors are looking to exit also.

Lean times ahead. To be honest - I don't mind a struggle, what I can't abide is when my club starts bringing out the begging buckets or worse still, goes into Admin (once in 1990). If that ever did happen again I'd be done with RL.

It's a tough tough task running a club. There is massive competition on leisure time and getting fans down to the Shay is proving difficult. Despite previously winning the GF & NRC we never beat a 2,200 average. That's poor.

Can't do any harm taking a leaf out of Leigh's book. Roll our sleeves up and start the hard work. The club need to find some dedicated folk to take this task on. Not easy.

You heard wrong. "From what I heard" all new signings have been informed and all of them will still be at Fax next season. In fact I would go so far to say im quite excited about been a Fax fan again.

Well as a leyther, but also a RL fan i want to see a strong halifax club. There fans are passionate and like us love their club.
