It's not the M.E.N.'s fault that they are being fed juicy quotes to print by the subject of the speculation! All we can hope for is that he continues to do his best while he is wearing a Leigh shirt and we keep him until we have a top 2 finish. Hopefully we can replace him with a Leigh lad who has his heart set on playing for Leigh.

He would be foolish to go to Salford the club Ryan in my opinion needs at least another few years before he reaches a level where he would be a outstanding SL player he should follow Chris Hills journey to the top flight Hilly is a perfect role model

He no longer states he has signed a 2 year contract. He now states he will weigh up his options at the end of the season. I reckon it is odds on he is gone at the end of the season.

Who knows? This lad is desperate to play SL. It's a shame as he could get there with Leigh if he honoured his 2 years. Although it's a short time in he game and if a big team comes knocking he's likely to go. Still from Leigh's point of view we need a bidding war and some big money for him!

You can't question his commitment while wearing the shirt. If he goes at the end of the season, then so be it. Bradford get their points back and we could be playing Salford next year.

All the brierley 'hype' is exactly that - Hype.
He would be completely out of his depth in SL as a half back. He was anonymous the entire game if there ever was a 'queue' of clubs eyeing him up, that queue would have diminished considerably with what he offered tonight, even against a weakened Leeds side who were way off the level they were playing at.
its easy to stand out in a team dominating the championship winning by 50 most weeks, but if he was playing for a whitehaven or a keighley he would be as anonymous as he was tonight week in week out.
there were many more players in your side that are more equipped to step up to SL than brierley.
i think he will be seeing out his contract at Leigh.
as for the game your team did you proud and were a credit to your club, and the championship and your fans contributed to a great atmosphere.

Yes Brierley was quiet tonight, it's in his new contract not to impress to much when we play SL teams. The one and only goal for Leigh this year is to finish 1st or 2nd. To do it because of a super star will diminish the efforts of the whole team....................................................Yes Ryan is good, but the team is better still

I think it's time that Paul Rowley pulls the plug on Ryan being interviewed as its not fair on him as he gets asked all the time about other clubs interests in him.

Then surely the club should ask him politely to cease and desist. I actually think it is a little disrespectful to the club and team mates who he has signed for for the next 2 years. But that's only my opinion.

I think it's a case of the lad being [itoo[/i honest if anything. He's got a contract and there's no faulting his commitment on the field so that's good enough for me.

It's all about this season not next

It's obvious that the lad wants to play for a SL team at the end of the season and good luck to the lad if he makes it. Personally, I don't think he is good enough for SL. He needs to realise that he is getting the plaudits because of an awesome pack of forwards. They are the true stars. They beat the Leeds pack last night. Without that pack in front of him he wouldn't be getting this interest in him. If he wants to go then I would let him go. I want players who want to get Leigh into SL and to play for Leigh in SL. He really needs to stop tweeting about it. The club is much much bigger than one player and I would rather have that pack of forwards than Brierley. We can always get an experienced half back but the commitment of those forwards for each other would be hard to replace. They were absolutely fantastic last night.

If Ryan wants to go to Salford theres nowt we can do about it , contracts mean nowt these days , I think the BOM would get the best possible deal for Leigh Centurions if he was to leave , for me Ryan is CLASS , but NO player is bigger than the Club or Team , and I don't think for one second Ryan thinks this way , he has Leigh Centurions best interests at heart for now and will continue to give his all for the team whatever happens in the future .

....but will the team give their all for him given his very public feelings of apparently wanting to leave.

Derek , I don't see a problem with team spirit , especially at the moment , young Ryan is like a precious gem for the Club and must be looked after, maybe in a way how Fergie looked after Rooney ,some players just need a bit of advice now and again , young Ryan may be no different , the boy is a credit to the Club with his off-field work and must be assisted in any way possible .

Well the best way is to stop all this is for Ryan to put it all to bed as its unsettling for him and the team
He's a lovely lad and he's had a tough time lately but all the hype etc is not good For him or team morale .
Ryan should go and have a chat to Chris Hill he left when it was right to go its too early yet for Ryan but his time will come deffo he will be a star one day
