Charlie is predicting a comfortable Leigh win on Sunday , again we fielded a strong reserves team last night with Ostick , Pownall, Duffy , Bate , and Govin all featuring , but no Acton or Thorniley so they both could feature on Sunday , you never know , but I think we will be to strong and fast for the Hairnets , with a score of Leigh 56 v Hairnets 10 .

Acton was 18th man V NW Crusaders.
Rochdale had a very good win last week and with StHelens's dual contract players in their side will be no push overs, they also have a classy stand-off in MIllard and two ex-Leigh players in the pack in Baines and Cookson who will have a point to prove,.

I think Rochdale will put up a good fight but we'll be too much for them and get back to big winning ways. I hope over this week's league game and next week's Challenge Cup game we'll score over 100 points. Going to say somewhere around 42-12 for Sunday's game.

With Aspinwall injured I would imagine Thornley would finally get some first team action now & personally I will be a bit disapointed if he doesn't feature this weekend. I think this game will be not easy although I believe we should win comfortably my guestimation is 44-16 MOM Goulden Att: 2089

Have all our league crowds been over 2,000 (or around there, was one just short?) with Rochdale being a fairly local Derby (much as you can get in this league) we should be getting over 2,000.

Leigh to win comfortably, but unconvincingly. Just watched the NWC game. Defence was shocking !!!

I will take a win, ANY win! First game of the season for me, not seen us win in over a year! Last 3 games I made it to last season we lost them all so I am hoping my run of bad luck will end on Sunday.

Can't wait to see the lads live in action after following via radio/twitter/LCTV so far this season.

Bring 'em on. They won't know what's hit them, when they sample Championship rugby! Ask some of the Wigan lads who had the odd game as D/R's at Leigh last season!

This is the issue with this league. You cannot "win" against teams like Rochdale - either its 54-0 and its seen as boring with no tension or excitement, or its 24-22 and it's seen as an unconvincing performance.

However, either scoreline against a Fax, Fev or Sheffield side would be a different story.

Preferably the former score, against any of those!

Baines and Cookson wouldn't get into our reserve team , probably why they left , I don't believe in sitting on the fence , you get splinters up your Jacksy

the Hairnets are an average team and that's being kind to them lets get back to Rugby basics , sling the ball around and a comfy win will be there for us .

Beswick, Penky and Kaye need to run at young Cookson constantly. Defending is not the strongest part of his game.

Sorry thought Cookson was treatly poorly by us at the time however his time as been sand gone .
He was a good player and. Wasn't given a fair crack of the whip IMHO of course
