Do we have an idea of how many tickets we've sold/ Wigan have sold so far?

I know I havent bought mine and a few mates(10) yet, will probably wait until Thursday, had a drive up to the ticket office last night on the off chance but it was closed. Hope we've sold a few, no real reason for me asking, just want to know.

I believe two hundred Leigh tickets were sold Monday .

Would hope that we have sold maybe 6 or 700 by now then, few more hundred tomorrow, same on Thursday would make a 1000, then a bit of momentum and 500+paying on the door on Friday, fear its going to be nowhere near as many as I first hoped. Doesn't feel like the crowd will be more than last years Leeds game which would be a shame.

To be fair, many people who are unable to get down to the LSV during the weekly opening hours will now be intending to just pay on the gate. (Myself included)

Hopefully everybody else will think the same, only just read that the ticket office wont be opeing late any night of the week. Absolutely unbelievable. I honestly wonder if we do it on purpose sometimes.

To be fair 300 is after one and a half days and is already passed our normal following.

I cant wait for the game, buying extra tickets and forcing them onto relatives that don't normally go, being realistic though, we've sold 300 tickets since the draw was made over 8 days ago. It isn't good enough, I've every faith that the Leythers will still travel in numbers, just feel that if we were saying a 1000 tickets had been sold, then the momentum would have already started to pick up.

The only people stopping the momentum is ourselves.

The delay in announcing the pricing and day of the game was last weeks news, get over it. No one knows who's fault it was that it took so long, but people have managed to point the blame at our own club.

I have these things called mates. And we easily sorted out one of us going down to the ticket office and buying everyone elses tickets. It's not rocket science.

Am i missing something,or can you not just turn up on the night and pay? if so, you cant get any easier than that.

Think what it is with some who have kids if they don't buy their tickets in advance it will cost them a tenner more.

I have posted on another thread people can order their tickets from the ticket office and pick them up at the LSV reception which has a 24 hour prescence. Simples.

You can pay on the night and I think that's what the majority of people will now do but I think what people are pointing to is the momentum of word of mouth backed up by the club being proactive increases ticket sales so people think 'I'd better get my ticket' as they don't want to miss something or be left out.
In effect it helps build the fixture up and makes it a occasion the club can profit well from.

The problem we've seen with pay on the gate rather than a good buy before you go policy is that all kinds of external differences can effect it such as poor weather and even a off day for the team in the weeks previous fixture.
I cannot imagine though Fax or Fev only having sold 300 tickets if playing Bradford or Cas if the draw had thrown them a huge cash lifeline so I suspect that's why people are frustrated.

Its too late now so lets hope the club are learning from this should we get Wire away in the next round
