Get Thornley back and some good DR's for back up/depth and we'll have a VERY competitive side again this season.

Well it is a decent squad and far better than we dared hope a couple of months ago.

Remember we have lost 3 of last seasons squad to Non relegation league not to mention 1 very good coach.

Oh and we don't have our usual two guaranteed league wins.

Rowles told me Mcnally has been signed as Full back and BB as 13. We need a centre a and a big ruff forward and the duals, if we could get Rhys bk we would have a better 3quarter line than the mighty unbeatable Fax

its got the potential Ian,but to replace hill,mills,paul,donlan and ellis is asking an awful lot.

Some very good signings though John, i am optimistic.

i agree with you mate. It feels like it a much younger squad as well.

I may get to a few games next season.I think a top 4 is very likely, and Paul is no lost out of the list gone.I say Ellis and Hill are the two main losses, as Donlan is getting on anyway.Beswick is a good addition and some of your new signings are half decent and Parker is also not too bad for the Championship.

Trust me mate when govin got found out it was a big relief to hav RHP back after his injury.

on paper you would have to say thats a pretty good squad thats being assembled, far better than we would probably have been able to wish for a couple of months ago. I hope we get the right coach to complement the team who can give them the right game plan to match the opposition we may be playing week in week out, because without that they could end up just being seventeen individuals out there, having said that the board and rowles have done a great job thus far.

Players still on the market (if we can afford)......Pryce,Calderwood, Greenwood.......the list goes on.

Pryce would run riot in this league and Calderwood would get 20-30 try`s a season IMO.

Is there only me who thinks McNally is never a full back in the memory of man?

Dont think mcnally is a full back, and was impeccable at 7 for haven. Would hope he can recreate that kind of form, and strike up a partnership with riddy. Also wouldn't want to rely to heavily on brierly because he's young, and there is always a risk of him being re-called by cas.

Thats not far off my 17 but Brierley cant be recalled(?), I doubt if Bibey will play and I would start Nicho with Duffs on the bench. DC's to cover front row, centre and a wide running back row please. Interseting to see how Gallaher looks - he could be an astute signing

Personally I'd rather see Taylor in the back row but my team selection is based on no DCs & what we have now

I think it would be a waste not to have Brierley in the line up' and' he is a season long loan of course and not dual contract.

Brieley would be play scrum half for me & Mcnally at FB Frank I was merely putting the starting team that we have all season. We'll probably see Briely most of if not all of the season but I thought a loan player can be recalled with a months notice & a DC immediate effect? Also I'd probably use a DC over Ostick my selection was based on what we have right now.
