Sheffield are a good side, make no mistakes about that! Wish we'd have had some of their pace and power! Last week could have been very embarrassing score wise if they hadn't had bombed so many!

Don't bet against them doing Fax either next Thursday - how come they came 6th playing the way they are

amazing result, sheffield lost 50-4 at Barrow in the league game.

We beat them easily with 12 men too............

I`ll go for a Fev v Eagles GF, might even be worth a punt on them to win it.

kind of, they did 'pull it back' to 24-20, before we scored some more tries.
But yes, 12 men for about 60 minutes. Ah well, we finished 3rd, but we might as well have finished 9th for the way i feel right now. Depressed/Negative/Doom & Gloom etc...... Stuck in the 'lower league' for years to come. (Cheers RFL)

Think most of us feel a bit/lot that way at present..........we had just 3 games at home in the last 10 wks of the season and just 1 in 4 wks before that..........2 defeats in those 3 games, the RFL remove any incentive not just to Leigh but to all except Vikings.........it's a big , sour tasting pill to swallow

Indeed Peter, obviously the RFL do not realize how long THREE years actually is, and when there is no guarantee that a club will be 'allowed in' to the promised land.
Sheffield have really had a great season, especially towards the end, but what good will it do them. IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER ANYMORE.

tbh mate we never ticked the box to apply to enter the box,so its no ones fault but our own really.although we are sharing the same emotions at the moment.

NOT easy to 'attract fans' with the rules that we are stuck with. Widnes have managed (ex world champions etc) but 2500 for Fev v Fax in a qualification S/F. Now if there was promotion on offer.......

Here's a thought for you all..... Sheffield go on to win the title. Ground share with one of the Sheffield football clubs. So you've then got a club in what is pretty much an expansion area, with a title under their belt, in a top stadium.


I bet Widnes would be worried.....

Well it makes me feel better that Sheffield won last night ,all we need now is for them to beat Fax and get into the final. This saying comes to mind " Its not how you start its how you finish "

I said a month ago that any of the six could win it - it sometimes depends on little things that happen on the day.

I fear the round fat little 2@ that coaches the dee dars!
He knows how to pick fev's pocket - he's done it so many times over the years!
I will probably be more apprehensive playing the Dee dars than Fax!! Unless of course, my mate Jamie gets the final!!!

Well in a pro sport which wants to be treated seriously why not promote the best side from one league and demote the one finishing bottom of the higher league ?

Because a pro team in Sheffield is far more attractive than one in Widnes - 5 miles from Saints & Wire.
