Will the Match be on or off tomorrow ?

More to the point, what time is the inspection to call it off?

It will be off no doubt, cant see the weather improving that much in 24 hours so I would think It,ll get called off at some point tommorrow.

I reckon it'll be called off I'm so pizzed off with this weather arghh

A foot of snow in Edinburgh yesterday and I still got to see a game...get it on!

Important to any officials reading: when is the pitch inspection?
Bit silly calling it off at 5 pm as I will already be on the way.

No problem with the pitch - undersoil heating, areas outside the ground will be the issue

Not heard anything regarding an inspection yet. Hopefully they'll have sorted the surrounding areas out & we can get it played!

All car parks near Sports Hall opened yesterday and very little ice on the paths from the car to the sports hall.

If its cancelled due to the path over the bridge being too slippy, the council want shooting, how much grit would it take to cover that!

If it is called off, the under soll heating system installed will be he biggest waste of money since David Stephenson signed for us.

Make yourself useful and go and have a look at the car parks etc, will you Joe?

I there anything we the fans can do to help, throwing grit down, breaking up ice etc?

Just been to the ticket office,car park still very slippy,paths surrounding ground appear clear.bridge footpath still slippy.

I'm really hoping it's on - they shouldn't have the same problem twice - get working on it!

Basically the way i look at the game being on our off lies in the hands of the rugby fans,if the fan wants to go to the game they will get there otherwise they will stay at home,i was watching the united v leeds game yesturday and the weather over in Leeds is terrible but they traveled in numbers.what is the point of having underground heating when the surrounding areas gets the game cancelled.

Spoke to IM about half an hour ago and they are all chomping at the bit and hoping that the game goes ahead, he says that all the paths and car parks have been gritted and they (both club ad LSV) want the game on badly.

For all the ones on about other various venues being on etc.. dont forget that the LSV over the last few weeks has had no 'foot traffic' (well not much) due to the college being closed and thats what keeps the paths clear, folk using them, and if the game is called of it wont be the club fault, as I know all were gutted the safety officer (rightly so IMO) called off the game last week.

Lets keep our fingers crossed - it's miles better than last week now! Although it will be a cold one if the game is played!!

The Antique and Collectors Fair in the sports centre went ahead yesterday. If the car parks at the LSV were OK for that, then I think the match will be on. I seem to recall during the winter months at Hilton Park in the 70s and 80s, a frozen pitch was the only problem to worry about. Shovels and straw sometimes seemed successful in having the game played. No concern was put on the surrounding frozen areas. Makes me wonder how I managed to get to the games back then along the icy paths.

i was at the club this morning and they had a road gritter driving around the car parks and roads slinging grit everywhere, they also had some blokes out on a buggy with grit and shovels, they ARE trying to keep the match on

There is going to be a inspection tomorrow morning at 10:30, then a decision will be made one way or other, my source the club itself, fingers crossed people.

that's good to hear I'm itching to watch us play & I felt like my chrisdmas was ruined due to the weather here's to hoping for our game tomorrow

i`ve just been to stadium and cant see why the game wouldn`t be on, gritters out ground staff shovels in hand. if its because of the roads around the ground i.e by pass or diamond street well they met as well call it off because my street is full of ice and i met slip



tryin to get to the game.

That worries me - 1030am is pretty early after the harsh overnight frost.

If the LSV area is OK and thats what the STADIUM safety officer will decide on, then the match should go ahead.

Ice in surrounding Streets and paths should not be a factor, if they are, how have we all survived over the last few weeks.H&S gone mad if the games cancelled.
