I've heard that we are keeping this years kit for next year. I personally think this is a poo idea! My 2 shirts, as good as they have been this year, would not last another season. And I refuse to buy 2 shirts that I've already bought 12 months ago. I think the club are seriously making a wrong decision if true. Any one else?

That would make loads of sense no money from shirt sales, of course they will change the shirt.

They need somewhere to sell them from, preferably more central than the sports shop on Leigh Road

This is what I have been told from a reliable source. I sincerely hope it isn't the case. As I said, if this is the case, the club will be losing my money this season. And I buy both shirts and toddler kit every year. Apparently a deal was almost struck for a new make, new style kit, to be sold from a town centre shop. But this has fell through due to this silly idea of keeping last years.

Would have to change if main sponsor changes which is highly possible. If it does not then possible that only one kit will be changed.

Does anyone know if that sports shop in Leigh Rd is still trading? I have driven past on the last few Saturday afternoons (2pm ish) with an intention to pay it a visit, only to find it all shuttered up.

we are defo changing shirts this season, was talking to allan rowley at the weekend and he confirmed we wont be using o neils and are in discussion with 2 or 3 other suppliers.

i hope we do.i keep gettin sudden erges to buy shirts and a season ticket for next season.must be bonkers

I think plans were to only change one design this year but those appear to have changed now.

Ive heard the kit supplier is going to be Samurai.

Apparently the Samurai deal has fell through. Shame really because I heard the shirt styles and designs were awesome. I think sometimes the club make decisions just to please certain people (If the face fits and such), and don't want to please the fans with fresh ideas.

I've heard they all wake up in a morning and the first thing they say to their loved ones is 'I've thought of another way of pi55ing the fans off'.

Whatever decision is taken it will be in the best interests of the club.

I wish I did design team kits for a living! That would be a dream job. Ha ha! To be fair, I have liked the 2 o neils shirts this year. But, I think the shirts should be fresh every year.

Change the sponsor (thus you get your new shirt) , keep the design (thus I don't need to buy one as its current)

Can understand why clubs do a different shirt every year (to get more finance) , I wonder though if a club that actually said it was keeping the same design / sponsor would actually sell more if people knew it would remain current for more than 1 season

Given the amount of shirts we seem to sell each year, I wouldn't think there are [ithat[/i many who don't buy them to make it worthwhile.
