Bradford hammered 56 - 12 by Widnes, HKR beat Wakey *by 2* & Fax have 50 put on them by Salford.

With todays scoreline we are right back in it with a shot at 4th or 5th & the £million game.

A big win at Fax next week, a win over Bradford at home & a close game v Widnes away will see us in with a shout of that all important £million match.

Anyone think we can't do it ?

Today's results Defford went our way , hopefully we won't waste the chance next week to make things better, at Fax ,another win there and a loss at HKR for the Bulls and maybe a loss for Wakey , and it's Hey Boys Hey.

We could go 4th next weekend if we can beat Fax

Was really worried about this game today. Needed a win and needed the points difference boost. I was surprised at how easily we handled Sheffield today. Their forwards just had zero impact and once we stopped the constant penalties in the 1st half an hour their go forward ground to a halt.

Very comfortable win and an 80 point swing in Points Difference against Bradford is better than I had hoped for.

Pack was brilliant today, our props dominated Sheffields and Mickey Higham looked a class above anybody else on the pitch and was a clear choice for MoM.

We are off the mark, bring on Fax!

We still had lots of errors in our game today and we gifted Sheagles at least 10 points too. Less errors and we'd have notched 60 easily.

Well done to the boys though. Putting 50 on a full strength Sheagles shows we're still confident in attack.

I was sitting up on the dissabled balconey with what i thought was a good view, did we really rip the ball out in as many tackles as we were penalised for ? , i didn't think we did and i saw the reff also penalise the Eagles for it also, and wondered if he had decided that if the ball came lose it must be because of messing around an was going to blow for it , regardless as to whether it was ripped out or lose carry.very happy to get the win but even more happy with the size of the win and to have a steady 80 min performance, at least in my eyes we didn't seem to "go to sleep" for any period in the game, i thought Mickey was on fire today Fui was busy and effective, Acton was impresive in fact i don't think any of our lads had a bad game today, well done lads .

It all comes down to Leigh Vs Bulls. The Bulls finish with Fax so 2 points there for them to give them 6 points.
Whoever wins the Leigh Vs Bulls game gets the £1m game spot. It seems to be that simple.
The season comes down to a one-off game to get into the £1m game and then another to get into SL. The rest of the season was just filling time and that is why this system may hit season ticket sales when supporters realise the league games are just warm up games and they should just buy the play off game tickets.

Don't think it really is that simple at all. Assuming we beat fax (by no means certain), and bulls lose to hkr it will all come down to points difference if we beat Bradford.

Warm up games?? So the aim of these games was just to get ready for the middle 8. No, the aim of these games is to finish as high as you can to get the best set of fixtures for promotion to SL. Oh yes and ultimately to actually earn the right to the middle eights. We do not have a God given right to now be fighting for pronotion

Does anyone think there has been any advantage to finishing top in the championship for the qualifiers, it's one hell of a hit to your confidence playing 3 SL teams on the bounce isn't it , i know we are the championship League Leaders and i would hope that brings financial rewardsbut i'm struggling to see any sort of reward for starting the super eight qualifiers as the top champ club as opposed to the 2nd placed champ club.

It was better finishing top rather than second but we didn't make the home advantage count against the SL teams, just once would have done.

On T.V. again v.Bradford. If every thing goes to plan i.e. we beat Halifax (difficult) and Bradford (possible), and Bradford lose at Hull KR (probable),it could all be down to points difference on the last week's matches. Then it will be between our match at Widnes or Bradford v. Halifax to be televised on the Saturday. Does anyone know if the match not to be televised has to be played on the Saturday at the same time, otherwise they will have an unfair advantage knowing what they have to do?

Hello my fellow Leythers, this is my first post on here, been reading it for a while and it seemed the right time for the king to appear

i have followed the mighty Leythers since Paul Topping went under the sticks for us against Sheffield in 92. Anyways, in my royal opinion, things will go our way and we will make the 1 million pound game if we put the mighty Fax to the sword and keep our discipline no matter what, hopefully by 30 points or more, hopefully catch the Bulls low.on confidence if they lose this weekend and then fight to the death with the Chemics in the last game. If we keep our discipline it is still in our hands. The King knows and I know Charlie does!!!!!
