Big Centurions and Leigh coats of arms in the Players tunnel now, really giving it an atmosphere, Home changing room plastered with Centurions pics etc, with 'Winners, Winners, Winners', underneath, it really stirred the lads up, plus they trained on the pitch Saturday!!!!


Home of Leigh Centurions above the entrance to the pitch, from the tunnel area, gets the emotions running, and makes the opposition feel intimidated i feel!

Starting too feel like home now, instead of a sterile neutral stadium!

Good to hear, i think it is feeling more like home to us fans aswell now seems it in the north stand anyway in my opinion, the atmostphere yesterday was brilliant and gave the lads a massive lift well done to all.

It felt great yesterday. Not sure I'd be saying the same if we had lost!

Full marks to those creating the good atmosphere, including the enthusiastic cheerleaders.

Get some decoration in the Legends Bar and keep plugging away with the special offers and just maybe it won't be like an empty box. The tables outside and the pitcher of ale for £9 (4 pints) was a step in the right direction yesterday but as Starbug said it should've been done at the beginning of the season. Good to see a fair few supporters in there after the game.

I walked past yesterday and was tempted in going in but the sign outside said "Legends Bar open, tickets only" so didn't bother hunting down the tickets.

You didn't need tickets, that sign needs binning!

I didn't know that. Like you said the sign needs binning as it just causes confusion.

The only downside was the gaping hole where O'Neill's used to be.

Well, aren't we looking for somewhere to do weight training? Surely a deal could be struck till it gets let out!

The lads went to the pool after the match too help warm down and rehabilitate, seems things are finally clicking, and the facility as a whole is finally being used too its potential!

Fully agree.......a massive step in the right direction.........at last !! It's taken a long, long time but it appears the powers that be are listening to what people have been saying on here ?



Not sure though about the "entertainment", ie dancers, singers etc (I'm in the grumpy old men stage...so it does'nt float my boat

) assuming these people don't come free, does this heighten YOUR enjoyment at the LSV and more importantly does it put anymore paying bums on seats?

Needs to go a lot further than that to make the place feel like home. "Welcome to the home of Leigh Centurions" signage should be inside and outside the stadium with more signage on the entrance to the car parks etc. Got to get the players and supporters feeling that they ARE playing a home game and not an away game with advantage to the visiting team!

I did exactly the same ...

Didn't bother after, we were in there before the game but 2 mates turned up after us and were told by the door staff it was full so operating a 1 in 1 out so they were only allowed in to come get us out, I can appreciate health and saftey/fire risks etc but it wasn't exactly heaving!!

Good job we didnt have the same rule in the Mick Martyn bar in Basil's 1st stint and Turks reign!

It was a bit ridiculous really they could easily fit more in if they had smaller tables, I was expecting to see King Arthur on one of them

I would have thought he was in the corporate boxes mingling with the sponsors

You would think they could make greater use of the space in front of the bar,huge area which could become a fanszone to get people down earlier.

I suppose once the supermarket is built it increases passing trade to the area and hopefully we can tap into that passing trade

Ihave also mentioned this on here before about a sign saying HOME OF THE LEIGH CENTURIONS outside so that the world and his dog know we play there plus it looks very clinical from outside.

I'm sure a lot of lessons will be learned from this first season. It's difficult moving from a place with so much history and even though it was old and tired we all loved HP.

It should say HOME OF LEIGH CENTURIONS & LEIGH GENESIS to be fair

and Blackburn Rovers reserves? to be even fairer, its up to each club to buy and have erected the sign refering to their own club surely?

Maybe the fans should chip in and buy one if it bothers them so much?
