Me-Joining LISA.

Just joining and increasing what I put on the form.

I joined LISA last week.

6 of us sent our LISA forms off yesterday

Offical appeal for members and campaign to start next home game, just waiting for a meeting with the club

to discuss things but the more that join meanwhile makes things easier for us.
Lets all try and do our bit if you cant commit every month, how about have two goes on the forcast comp instead of one then you are contributing £1 every week , how about coming and playing poker one week, or using the LISA coaches to the away games.
Remember all LISA money goes to the club all the people who do things for LISA do it FOC no one takes anything out.
People who want to donate more can join the corporate club, details in programmes and on website.

Set up a Canadian Leigh lottery syndicate. Pledged to maurices community idea but will now double my Lisa membership also as that scheme may not come to fruition immediately.

I've joined the club lottery now, in addition my LISA membership. I've offered my services and help to the club and Trevor Barton. There will continue to be updates on the love rl podcast. I'd urge everyone to buy a programme at the next home game for my other suggestions in a special article for the next two weeks where I am editor and Lynda, impassioned plea in less that 400 words and I'll get it put in the programme and will make reference to it in my journal article, especially if there is a planned membership drive. We need to get that noticed.. put it all over facebook and twitter.

First place to start would be exisiting members. Ask them if they could try and get a few new members from amongst their friends and family

You should do a thread with a count up of how many you get to join since AT leaving, show people how successful you are, might generate some momentum.

No because the more you tell people that loads have signed up , the less people WILL sign up , if somebody else is paying for their entertainment , why should they contribute

I wil produce a calander with the players as we did a few seasons ago on the style of the calander girls and get buisness sponsors so it wil pay for its self did anyone see that it was good and i will advertise it with my products in the fitness magazines

LISA is intending to give out 2,000 membership forms at the match on Sunday against Dewsbury , in an attempt to get 1,000 new members and secure the short term future of the club

We need people to get to the match early and basically shove these forms in the hands of fans coming in and quickly explain why the need to sign up there and then , threaten them , insult them , hit them with a baseball bat if necessary , we really don't care , as long as they sign up there and then

So are you up for it ?

You write a lot on this board and generally I think you talk a lot of sense, but I have to confess that sometimes I think you can be contrary simply for the sake of it. Take this comment as an example. Can you REALLY imagine Children on Need on a Friday night trying to raise funds but not telling people (until they are sick to death of it) of how much money has been raised and what last years total was (i.e. a target)?

Why if every fundraising campaign I have ever seen used this model, should we decide not to? Is the Leigh public that much different from the rest of the nation?

Surely then we should be setting a public target of total LISA membership and an annual pledge number, together with regular updates of where we are on both items. People like to be involved and know how they have contributed to a massive team effort. Some might be persuaded (like me) to up their contribution to push us over the top. If we meet a target we simply set a higher one and start again.
