Reynolds, the very same half back that a free falling relegation threatened Wakefield saw enough of after only 5 games and spent the remainder of the season desperately trying to get shut of?

When his fans told me he had signed for SL Wakefield I said he would spend more time on duel Reg at Bradford or Fev ! When Wakey were short of halves recently they moved Hampshire from fullback to play there before slotting him in!
I’m beginning to despair because both him and Brierley have been jettisoned by their respective clubs because they were both well down the pecking order there! These players have sampled life elsewhere and and been unable to cement a role in their teams!
I’ve never rated either of these two as playmakers and when they have been assigned that role at Leigh, they both failed!
Ryan of course provides excitement with his pace and try scoring prowess hopefully he’ll soon be showing that talent again soon ! Ben I’m sorry to say is not for me !

Sign Danny Craven for halfback and I promise you I won’t ! We are signing players I have never been impressed with ! When Gregg, Riddy, Patterson and Hood came back I was delighted these are MY kind of players !

Charlie , I don’t think it’s about give Reynolds a chance, I’d like to hear what prompted Chris Chester to sign him and, why has he released him after only a handful of games ?

Agreed, we have cart horses, and halves without creativity. Next season in the championship, we need to look at addressing this.

The players recently brought in haven't got us to where we are now. I agree we had to do something,so for me it would/should have been an end of the season contract (If possible) for these latest recruitments,and then have another look then. Like it has been mentioned earlier,there are other players in Holroyd,Higginson,Cox etc who should have been given a chance. After all, SL is meant to be the goal next year.

Wouldn't surprise me. Though the flip side to that is Reynolds is the only half we have signed up for next year so far.

Not at all.

However Widnes going to Wembley did throw a spanner in the works for Danny Craven being in a Leigh shirt THIS season.

No the signing of Reynolds is because Wigan have told Leigh they need Josh Woods out on a 12 month loan at a SL club next year. Woods will most likely be at Wakefield next season if they manage to avoid the drop.
