A sell out North Stand sounds great, myself being an owd Goat, I need to sit down, but have bought my Season Ticket a couple of weeks ago for the West Stand, and even then I couldn't get the seats I wanted , they were sold, it's looking good attendance wise for next season, I can't wait.

Got my [iNorth Stand[/i ST very early on as I feared this might happen & didn't want to end up in [iThe Library[/i !!!

It will cause a problem if NS ends up all ST as her indoors is a PAYGO type & won't get in with me.

a few clangers & assorted extra terrestials in there, but it is where the majority of the atmosphere is generated & the sense of humour, though sometimes co is palpable.

I am hanging on for news of the East Stand.

Must admit, I enjoyed it in the East stand against Batley. Having four bars under the stand made getting a drink a hell of a lot easier than it does in either the North or West stands. The view from the back of the stand is better than the view at the back of the West stand as there are more rows of seats and you are therefore higher up. Plus you get a reet good sun tan in the summer months!

Believe the East should be open for ST sales with the west being reserved seating, certainly the central blocks

Reading Derecks column (which was a facinating read) I better get my finger out and get my S.T. quick if the North Stand is going S.T. only.

Good news.

Making the North Stand all Season Ticket has its pitfalls as its does its advantages (such as if a ST holder brings a mate / family member to the odd game) so maybe leave an opportunity for North Stand ST holders to upgrade to West/ East in such circumstances on the day.
The other one is if the North stand is filled up then unless every fan from last season has got a Season Ticket then the likelihood is a lot of new fans have gone for that stand so the atmosphere might not be as good as last season (until they join in), the plus of this is it may work out better across all stands as those fans who can't afford the initial outlay for a North Stand season ticket get scattered around the ground.

Just out of interest anyone know How many does the North stand hold and how many Season tickets have been purchased for that stand as of now?

Either way a nice 'problem' to have with the season a long way off and most people not having bought one as yet especially when you consider the 'will we have a team' or 'will we got 1,500 on to break even' are the problems we've had in previous off seasons.

Hope that's right as the North stand must have a 3500 capacity.

Hope we get Wigan in the Grand Final and Leeds at Wembley.

I've been thinking about this and reading between the lines I think Derek may have pre empted the situation of very few tickets for general sale in the NS on match days so will give existing season ticket holders there first opportunity on them for family etc who don't have a ticket. I know the club allowed swaps/upgrades last year so am confident all will get in the same stand most games if they book early enough

How would folk feel as a Fan if say there are 1000 tickets available after ST sales for the NS and existing ST holders there can purchase these before general sale up to 2 weeks before the game, for the last 2 weeks any left are on general sale with the rest. It seems to cover most scenarios?

Seems logical Mo.The only problem being is Sky rearranging fixtures within that two week window.People will still wait until the last week before purchasing.

They only do that in the 8's I believe plus this is an add on for ST holders to help reduce the risk of splitting family up so the decision is with them

No, don't like it. Why should a Season Ticket holder's mate (who fancies the Wigan game) get preference over a regular fan, who didn't buy a ST because of the fixture pattern, but can attend this one?

Because the benefit is with the ST holder and another reason to buy one, how do you distinguish at the ticket office between a regular and non regular fan? Do we ask them to bring stubs with them, do we take them off them if so what about the next game? What happens if that ST holders mate then wants a season ticket himself as a result of going with his mate or goes more regular than the other regular due to not working shifts? If a few regulars want to join the thousands who committed to ST's prior to the fixtures coming out then brilliant! It will cost me more for a ST than simply paying for the games I can get to, but the magic discounts, knowing I can get into my regular spot and not having to make an effort to get to the ticket office every game made it a no brainer over about £60 in match ticket savings

The North Stand hold 4,000 people + , [iIf[/i we only sell 2,000 North Stand ST's prior to SL kicking off v Leeds then 2,000 match day North Stand tickets will be available as normal on a first come first served. Just like they always have been.

However the club's ultimate goal is to have 12,700 ST holders and whilst there is empty seats then this should remain so.

The message therefore here is perfectly clear, if you want to guarantee access into the stand of your choice to watch Leigh Centurions in SL then the only way gaurantee this next season is to purchase a ST.

I have renewed mine yet again, I would not want to miss out this year of all years.

That was packed to the rafters for the Castleford v Widnes Challenge Cup Semi Final, and I am sure Castleford received an allocation of 4,000 standing tickets for that match. However, You couldn't swing a cat to be fair.

What would you say it holds then?

3500 max at present with East stand open, 3000ish with East stand closed. It was sold out v Huddersfield but as with all open plan standing areas the fans move central and leave space out wide. The same happened to with us at Wire, centre was overcrowded with gaps at each side

No you can't, so you don't. Anyone who isn't a ST holder should get in the queue when tickets are available with no advantages.

The benefits are to the Season Ticket holder, they get to take a family member or friend they wish to attend with, imo a reward for their investment. If the 2880 figure is correct then it will be very close to all ST occupation anyway
