The Watcher throughly enjoyed that match, Bradford will rack up some big scores in this league however that really was a big wake up call for them. the Watcher thought Leigh definitely deserved their victory & were fantastic to a man, even Tommy G kept going despite dropping 2 or 3. Our fitness was never in question & if anything we looked stronger at the finish. Fui Fui has set himself a high standard, let's hope he keeps it up. Well done to everyone at the club

That's the sort of game that keeps the fans coming, thoroughly enjoyable, game of two halves and other well worn clichés but a cracker. Some poor discipline resulting in cards, some mistakes, some beltin tries. Well done both teams.

Btw some of the usual suspects will disagree but the officials did OK.

That will be because no video ref, ruining Super League, sounds a cracking game.

I'm a Bulls fan and ive got to say the best team won today and fair play to Leigh. Great atmosphere, it makes a change for us to see a competitive game instead of us losing 18-0 after 10 minutes like last season. The officials were garbage today for both teams, the ref was like a rabbit caught in the headlights

But what I would most like to say is why is a numpty Halifax fan starting a topic on here with his dislike to all things Bulls

Thought we we were going to be blown away at HT but a 30-4 turnaround in the second proved decisive.
Your 9 Obrien had a good game and Gaskell is class. Give it a few games and you`ll blow someone off the park. Cracking attendance and atmosphere and well done for an excellent away support.

Charlie thought the game was very good and agree with Reffy about a game of two halves , I thought at times Joe Cobbs decisions were correct , but felt Bradford committed a lot of Professional Fouls which went unpunished .In the first half Leigh didn't see much of the ball , and tried to out muscle the Bulls , play Rugby you Leythers you showed how to in the second half and the second half score showed how Superior we were .

I thought Gaskell was very good for the Bulls and will have a very good season , but our pack led by Fui , was very good , a fully enjoyable game , bring on the Fax , cant wait for next week , like Leigh the Bulls will wallop a few teams this season , should be a great season , the crowd was very good to.

Reffy, I actually think your're right. The officials could have been better though, but like you say,our discipline was poor the first half and overall the ref did ok. It was beltin game and in the end the best team won. A game of two halves.

Not sure what 'reality check' Bulls fans needed. The majority of fans I've spoken to or know thought it would be a tough season. I expected this match was a little too soon for us and where we are as a team at this moment. Leigh are a good side and they showed that today with a deserved victory. Thankfully for us, we have many more games ahead to get ourselves in a position where we can have a crack at promotion and hopefully we will do that.

Despite the loss, I thought it was the most entertaining game I've seen for sometime and I can't wait for the rematch at Odsal.

Good post Reffy and you lot are always going to get it. I would just like to say that I was extremely impressed with both Sam Hopkins and Jake Emmitt. Both were absolute rocks today. I watched closely Sam and come the end of this season I can see him finally reaching his potential. Just finished the first bottle of celebratory red now for the good stuff. It was like we had just won a final today wasn't it or am I over hyping it?

Oli Wilkes had a massive game and his MOM was well deserved from 1..17 well played lads McNally was outstanding both in defence and attack...

Despite the Win, which obviously i am over the moon about, i have some concerns.

Firstly, our discipline was poor last season & still hasn't improved. Yes the boys get fired up by/for the fans & yes they take no Bull (not a pun) but this needs to improve for SL to become a reality.

Secondly, we started too slowly & had some very poor tackling in the 1st half. I recall one of the Bulls tries in the North Stand East corner, we had 5 defenders v Bulls 2 attackers & the try was waltzed through.

Not all doom & gloom though, the Attendance puts many Clubs to shame (see Londons attendance yet again) & as a team Leigh showed a Never Say Die attitude reminiscent of the best Man United teams.

I predict Bradford will top this League & London Broncos will fold *unless bailed out by the RFL again*
The playoffs in the middle 8 will be to tight to call.

Congrats to the team & I hope that the "Big Time" supporters normally only found at Blackpool & Headingly come back again & again & again.

Since I moved down to Mid-Wales, I've worked on Sundays and/or I've had too much to do refurbishing my house. But I just HAD to come up for this one!! My thanks to all that recognized me, and said hello!

Ticket + fuel from Mid-Wales + lunch at Morrisons (surprisingly nice!) + a pack of fags, + programme + ONE pint in the Whistling Wren meant that the game cost me a Quid a minute. BUT IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY!! So the cost means I'll be picking my games ....

Such a pity the ref left his b*lls and rule book at home. There was at least one red card incident there, and a lot of his decisions were a mystery to me. Just one concern from me. I felt we didn't clamp the ball in the tackle and allowed too many ground making offloads. My top highlight was FuiFui's break. which eventually led to a try. Top class ....

Thought we were taken by surprise early on by just how good Bradford are, they're obviously a class above in strength, speed and skill what we've been used to for the last few years. Fortunately as we got used to the game & after whatever Rowley said at half time our true quality managed to shine through. Despite Penky having a fantastic game I still think we're better off starting with Bob, think he could have done better at calming everything down early on & helping us get settled into the game sooner.
Do think Bradford though are clearly a team with Karl Harrison on their coaching staff, played his trademark niggly, hard slow it right down game then complain about absolutely everything when your opposition stand up to you and have a strop for the next 3 days when it obviously doesn't work; no idea why Bradford signed him, he's nothing to offer.
Ref was doing well until the fight then looked a bit out of his depth, some bizarre decisions like the sin binning for a tackle in the air but not for Bradford's professional fouls.
All in all not only have we've beaten the favourites for the league but we've done it from 14 points behind, very positive performance. Hopefully the disciplinary will be kind & everyone will be fit to go again for Fax next week.

They weren't a class ahead in skill in my eyes, and I think we were fitter than them, and it certainly showed in the last 15 minutes. It was mainly our discipline in the first half - reacting to typical Yorkshire bully boy tactics costing us dearly. Second half, that was cut out, and it showed massively.

Totally agree about Harrison,why they signed him only Bradford can answer.Well past is sell by date
