As always derek came across as the utter professional, i have always been a beaumont fan. Its great that we are getting so much positive media coverage.

2100+ tickets sold by close Wednesday suggests we will get a great crowd on Sunday, I recall asking what the take up was like when we offered the early discounts a few seasons ago and was told very small, I am personally hoping we break 4000 with ease - can't wait as I've missed the last 2 games

Take it that does not include the 1,000 that we have sent to Fev Maurice?

It was from Dereks interview on GMR via the link above and included the 530 sold at Fev by close on wednesday, and as I said the take up for discounted tickets has always been poor at Leigh, hence my 4000+ forecasts

So if 19 coaches are coming from Fev how come they've only old 530 tickets .
The ticket office is going to be busy on the day if they are buying their tickets on the day . As I think they'll be about 1000 who will pay on th day .

Most people will buy after pay day, ie Fri-Sun - Fev fans will be no different, or the cost/time to get to LSV for a £2 discount wasn't worth it for them - the fans I have talked to haven't picked up tickets yet for example because they work outside Leigh others didn't know about it but weren't bothered anyway.

It will be a great game with a great crowd and a cracking atmosphere

My m8 went for his yesterday and said there was very few left in the ticket pile, also out of our bus only half the fans on it have tickets the rest paying in. Its not easy for everyone to get to fev to pick a ticket up during the week if you dont live in the town, especially if your working and even more so when you know you can just pay in on the day

There is a majority of fans who are happy to pay the full price, £2 is less than the price of a pint but a few hundred £2s is a significant cost to the club(s). This game in particular could have stood on it's merits without discount.

It's true that not everyone can get to pick tickets up durng the week so yo can always expect lots to pay on the day .

Cash turnstyles? but not like at Rochdale where they did cash and tickets at the same one, took ages to get in.

They are aware that they will need to queue up for tickets before they go to the turnstyle as we don't have cash turnstyles? Not the quickest process so be prepared to wait.

Agreed. Leigh v Featherstone blockbuster for a stake in the last 8 of the Challenge cup. Everyone who attends would have done so regardless of a small discount or not.

I am not knocking the club or Featherstone for that matter, they are trying to please everyone.

I suppose the advantage is that people who purchase early tickets will not be put off at the last min (weather, football, plumbing emergencies or car breakdowns etc) and if so we have already banked the cash

9000 empty seats every weekend and no cash turnstyles.

Now I could moan about that .... Again
