Other information published on Swintons TotalRL forum include the fact that LSV is one creditor in a £100k debt and there is a tax bill of 17k to pay before the winding up hearing in January. The LSV is too expensive to play at (so where will they play?)

Plans are now in place for a skeleton squad and Watto as coach to start training in January. All a bit late in my opinion and it looks like if they are to continue the supporters trust are going to have to step in. The RFL have already advanced 3 of next seasons payments and apparently will not help them any further.

Oh and guess what, it has now come out that there is not enough available land at Agecroft for a stadium....and they didn't know that all along?

Went to the meeting at Swinton British Legion last night, apparently HMRC have applied for a winding up order on Jan 13th. There are a couple of options, a fan buyout, or Mr. Koukash buys the club on the proviso that the council agree to let him build a new stadium, along with shops and restaurants in Swinton town centre, if they don't agree to those terms, apparently he'll walk away. Not looking too good for Swinton. They are also in talks with to play at Sedgley Park.

So it's obviously the LSVs fault. Rule of business you pay for what you use/buy or you are just commiting fraud. Wonder if the LSV can join HMRCs petition in January.

Why are you getting so defensive? It's obviously the clubs fault for not paying, but surely the LSV should be far more commercially aware to understand after a month or two of no payments there's an issue. If I owned the LSV I wouldn't be too happy with my staff for allowing this situation to occur, again.

I have signed the petition because the only way forward for them is to play in Swinton.

Re the last part of your post it is obvious neither of the two clubs have paid what they owe the LSV for the use of facilities maybe your question should be asked to the Chairmen of the two clubs who owe the LSV that money.

Since neither chairman of either club who were in charge at the time are around the sport anymore, that would be difficult.

Also my question was how do the management at LSV find them selves in this very similar situation to what they were 12 months ago with Salford? They're not operating a charity and I don't know how they're manage their accounts, but as I said one or two missed payments should have set alarm bells ringing.

Exactly. Whilst I am obviously dissapointed we racked up a debt we couldnt afford to pay (at the time), it begs a bigger question as to what lessons LSV learnt from the previous 12 months with regards to this type of situation and it would appear non. Hardly a great way to run a business which is what the LSV is.

I think the word that is used is partner. It is the partners that share to varying degrees any profits made. At least thats how I remember it.

I remember being awe-struck at the size of the stadium and the hair-raising atmosphere.
