There are some proper local rugby fans on the Board now. They realise a strong local amateur game benefits all. There is a strong pool of talent from which Leigh can try and progress players locally and the club recognises this. As their new strap line says We Are In This Together!

The past board too had Rugby fans too one named his company after our club!

Its 2013 we have moved on and have never looked as healthy as we do right now and have certainly never before conducted ourselves as professionally as a club that's for sure.

The only one from the previous mob whos got out about him love or hate him is Degsy and hes back on board rest are history now and the future is looking breet.

Say what you want about Derek, but when he left the fold in 2005 the club then appeared (from the outside looking in) to lose ambition.

All in my humble opinion of course.

We do have to move forward now, and give the current administration all our support.

However, it is only right (in my opinion) that we acknowledge the contribution of all the previous administrations at the club. Without them, we may well not have had a club for the current BOD to run.

Indeed Alan, anyone who invests money into the club earns my respect.

As for you MR Concerned , what has Leighton Packaging which is the company I was refering to, have to do with me or my hubby?????

Everybody who has ever stepped up to fund our hobby in the past 20+ years has done so for the right reasons and has my respect - we have had no ground or training pitch to pawn in that period. Each has played a role in keeping pro/semi pro RL in Leigh and with it the dreams we fans hold

The club will succeed or fail on fan take up, and as a fan I am fortunate to be financially able play a small role at this moment to help my dreams become reality

We are on a roll, you can tell by the little moaning on here for a start

, but we need the community to back us in great numbers to ensure that roll becomes unstoppable if we are to reach our dreams

Show you are in it with us, and if possible get them season tickets bought or on your Christmas list - REMEMBER £160 for an adult and under 16 to attend 13 league games at the LSV with the squad that's been put together and the facilities on offer is a real BARGAIN imo

Great post and full respect to everyone who's had a go but that's gone now time to get behind the current board and move onwards and upwards.

Simon Moran is a huge rugby league fan and stands on the terrace every week, when we played Catalans he was in the pubs around Lloret mingling and enjoying a few drinks just like the rest of us, albeit with a big unit of a body guard. Doesn't seem to have had an adverse effect on Warrington Football Club Limited?

You seem to be helping your husband to carry that huge chip on his shoulder lately and it really is quite sad to watch unfold.

Yes we dont want any ' Cronies ' getting involved with the club do we?

I'd be surprised if anybody who wasnt a ' huge RL fan ' would shove a load of cash at a RL club, be they multi millionaires or just local businessmen, the point being made was more to do with people who do or have supported local amatuer clubs, and this administration much like the last has done that , so maybe that ' chip ' you mentioned doesnt actually exist outside your head

And some others support other local sports Keith, Phil Coffey has supported Atherton Town FC for years

However this isnt a contest and I havent posted it to make it one, just replying to an invitation

Both Neil and Keith's posts I totally agree with. People who care for our game and communities who stump up their hard earned have my upmost respect. Dedicating your time time for no return is even more admirable. Leythers are a bread that I can say I am proud to be of. Totally looking forward to next season.
