I cannot ever remember a time when such a sustained flow of positive news has come from the club.
This is another great step forward and a press release full future positive intent.

Excellent, I'm liking all the news outta the club atm and i know it's early days yet but it seems our clubs in safe ambitious hands, well done guys n gals

I consider this to be our best 'signing' to date.

JR has already been a fantastic Interim Chairman and has done great things in a short time but now it's all official I just know there are better things to come for the Leigh Centurions.

John is a great leader of men and we are all delighted he has accepted the position of Chairman on a permanent basis.

People really now should start to believe in what we are doing here at Leigh Centurions, this BOM are not here to make up numbers we want SL and are working tirelessly behind the scenes on new infrastructures and additional resources for next season both on and off the field to lay a platform for a future full time Super League club.

John has been instrumental in building great relationships with the RFL since we took control of club and they really can see great things happening at Leigh Centurions as do the LSV and Council who are delighted by the make up and skill sets of our new Board and the clear ambition we have and are backing us also.

We are all in this together now this BOM and Chairman work for you the fans and TOGETHER we can make this the club we've always wanted it to be and put it back were it belongs!!!!!

Its all very reassuring thanks to the BOM, onwards and upwards

Having the privilege to play a small role in what is happening at our club is one of the highlights of my life to date, as is working with John and the rest of the team.

We have so much to play for this season and I am sure Paul and the lads can reach that GF we all cherish, but your support will be vital in the battles ahead so again please get out there, dragging friends and family with you for what will be an exciting end of season and play off series

I can only re-affirm the positivity around the club and in the boardroom, we have a simple objective - to be in the top division of 12 in 2016, to do that we have goals to achieve in 2014 and 2015 and our plans for which will be rolled out over the coming weeks.

Season Tickets will be promoted in September, we intend to make these great value and affordable - we realise the impact 3 home games in a month can have on the average family so it is our job to make season tickets accessible by spreading the cost over numerous months without financial penalty. It is also our strategy to achieve added value for our season ticket holders but that will be revealed at the launch

Kits and shirt sponsorship is being looked at currently and we aim to have this concluded by mid September with product available well before Christmas

A buzz word for us is inclusivity, we want all fans to be a part of these exciting times. Everything we do will be about working with our partners and stakeholders to deliver maximum benefits from association with our great club at every level, for example what we have strived to achieve in the Legends Bar before games for fans is just a start - we want all to be PROUD of their association with Leigh Centurions and especially the role they are playing in making it the best it can be, having great fun along the way.

Keep your eyes open for what will be unfolding, we will ignite the passion that will drive us to achieve our goals and return the pride in being a fan of this great club once more

this train keeps a rolling, great news all round, the club feels like its starting to be sustainable which is vital and is being driven by our current BOM.
This has been a season that started off with worry about finances and squad strength and has turned into an exciting and forward thinking season about results on and off the field.
Would love another trophy in that cabinet now

ALL the guys presently running our Great Club are doing a fantastic job , they are all Business minded Professionals who have the Clubs best interests at heart , and as Fans we should give them as much support as we can .

As were the last lot Ian, up to now they havent done hardly anything, so lets all calm down, actions speak louder than words and lets save the hero worship until they have actually earned it

Andy, just out of interest what targets have the club set the Community Foundation ?

They have already got the club back on to a sound financial footing and injected a much needed impetus around the place.

So for me they deserve a little more respect than your 'they have not actually done anything'

The other side of that and the big difference between this lot and all the other lot is that they are yet to feck up something big and royally !

Not really the place to discuss, I will say they have really exceeded expectations and are going from strength to strength.

I did miss out the 'hardly' bit for which I apologise. I also missed from my post, a 'more' sound financial footing.

However please correct me if I am wrong, I do not think we are in a more precarious financial situation now under the new BOM than we were with the previous regime ?

But then again, what would I know...

I wouldnt want anybody getting too comfortable or complacent Andy, a huge amount of work to be done, I doubt we are ' out of the woods ' yet and nobody should be under any illusions that the change in structure will make the job any easier, if anything it could make it harder if it makes people take their eyes off the ball as too what is required

Lets hope they can deliver what the club want them to deliver, for the benifit of the club, as they are as far as I understand it, independant of the club, which was the reason given for getting rid of our last community facility

We won't rest assured.

Having been working closely with the RFL with full support of LSV and the Council we are viewing the imminent changes in structure as our big chance and intend to take it.

I'm not here to question anyone from the past none of my concern, future what matters this new team and it's credentials along with gaurenteed income being invested over next few years gives us the platform to work on and gives the club stability and real ambition for the first time in many years.
