I am hearing that our match with you is now on a Saturday has anyone from your club confirmed this and if so do you know the reason ?

Saturday will hit the crowd figures won't it

Just looked at the Leigh website and although the front page shows Leigh v Fev as Sunday 2nd June, when you try to buy tickets it then shows Swinton v Fax on 2nd June. I've looked at the RFL fixture list and that says we play Fev Saturday 1st June at 1pm, so it looks like you're right, but no official confirmation from Leigh as far as I can see.

I must admit I was going to ask about this fixture as its obviously the one that would give us our biggest home league gate since Widnes.
Hopefully its still on the Sunday as surely Leigh are not going to score another financial own goal to move it to 1pm KO on a Sat (Is that not just a default time the RFL have on its website whilst awaiting a official KO time ? ), equally the club haven't said its anything other than 3 PM Sunday as yet.

On the fixture list card I have in front of me it does say Sunday but it also says TBC at the side of it so it obviously hadn't been decided when the cards were printed.

Is this another decision to both irritate fans and lose money, have Leigh Centurions leaders got a death wish?

I would of thought your club get first choice of date if it clashes with Swinton wouldn't you. I hope its wrong because there will be more there from Fev on a Sunday

Well Leigh and Swinton can't both play their respective games at the LSV on the same date.

I expect Leigh's game will be on a Saturday with an early evening kick off but that is just my guess.

Most Leythers are at the gym Saturday morning and because it takes me at least an hour in travelling time an evening kick off would suit me best what with transport links being better on a Saturday than a Sunday.

The footie season is over by then too and so I think that would be best.

In the end, it will depend on what the RFL rules. (like the Wigan game) Leigh and Fev couldn't agree a date, so it has been referred to the RFL.

Pity we couldn't object to the THREE Thursday nights at Fev, that Premier Sports/the RFL imposed on us last season!

My Hydotherapy sessions are midweek , so it wont bother me .

Mark Taylor has just tweeted that this game will take place on Saturday 1st June and KO will be 1pm.

This was decided by the RFL as the clubs couldn't reach an agreement (I thought I'd get that in before all the haters have yet another pop at our club).

Can't understand this ,why doesn't Leigh have first say as I do believe it is our ground when alls said and done .It doesn't affect me personally but its still not on !

Sat 6.30/7pm in summer is a great time imo but 1pm - how the luvv can we be forced to play at 1pm

I am all for a Saturday kick off but surely the RFL will adjudicate on the day of the match rather than time of a game?

For what reasoning would we choose to kick off at lunchtime?

I dont mind, footy season finished too, so no excuses unless people are working, if we could have got 6pm KO if would have been better, but I will enjoy my Sunday off, hopefully having a barbi in my garden thats not had any use so far this year !!!!!!

It's only 'our ground' in some peoples imagination!! Just 'cos it was built in our town as a 'community facility' for our town, the fact remains that we are just one of several 'tenants' - with no more clout than the other 'local' users (Swinton & Blackburn)......I imagine it's all about who pays most or shouts loudest!!

Bizzare. Surely a later kick off, anytime from 5-7 would have been more attractive? I understand the RFL decide the date but do they decide the KO time?

To be fair to them, they flagged this up when the drafts of the fixture lists were originally sent out a long time ago.

If anyone is to blame, its the people who have only just acted on it, which is so unprofessional, its beyond belief!

Surely it is the right of the home club to determine which day they (normally) play their home fixtures???

Ok I know that there is a clash with Swinton in this instance and someone has to make a decision but which idiot at the RFL decided to have us both playing at home on the same weekend when they were compiling the fixture list??? Surely someone at Red Hall was aware that we both play at the LSV???

Oh and by the way, I think that we as fans need an official statement from our board of directors to re-assure us that they did in fact want to play our game on the Sunday and are not using this as a smokescreen to ensure a free Sunday for whatever reason!!!

Oh and by the by the way all this will no doubt be academic anyway when Premier Sports dangle a huge wad of money in front of us (
