By far the better team and the scoreline flattered us a little.

Our sliding defence was none existant, and this is something we need to work on. Ellis and Ridyard very,very quiet and quite poor mainly due to the Fev pack.

BUT - We busted them a few times and would have scored more ourselves with more composure.

Our speed around the rucks really let us down.

We need to turn out in numbers next Thursday to have another crack at them. On neutral turf, I fancy it should we win next week

We really do not have a clue how to play 80 mins at POR.

I managed to get there a bit late and missed our first try (fEV)..What I did notice was that your boys when they came out second half looked like they just didnt want to know they strolled out like it was a friendly...Was expecting a bit from them...im sure you will be up for the final

People around me in the crowd at the fev end spotted this early doors....I wonder if that performance had owt to do with the millward factor..i.e. leaving ?

They were definately not the Leigh side I expected given all the hype about them, very disapointed to be honest expected more of a contest...I wonder if the Millward leaving issue is starting to have an effect...

One little incident but hardly worth noting

A backseat passenger Leigh fan in a silver peugeot threw his pint out of car at fev fans but missed and hit one of the Leigh supporters buses instead

All in all thought leigh fans were a credit throughout the game

I would take that if thats all that happened ...i saw a ambulance with blues and twos on about a mile from the game heading that way,I just hope it wasnt game related....that would be a shame..had a bit of a craic with some leythers all good honest banter....I think they will bounce back...wounded animal and all that ...

No complaints best team won it was Fev's night end off.

The idea that the lads played worse than normal because Basil is leaving at the end of the season is daft.

Season is not over .Anyways I got home early cos a fellow Leyther who drives like Stirling Moss gave me a lift almost to my front door.

We made a couple of bad calls in the first half and that cost us imo. Happens sometimes. We will bounce back in our next two games.

I thought our coach had Leigh sussed perfectly we scored early doors putting them in a position of having to play catch up Rugby and we soaked up the physicality very well, and I thought Tonks and Dickens were great too and were not intimidated by the Leigh big boys... If we meet again I hope you play the same winger that didnt know where he should be ...

Fev did the basics well and clearly know how to win on their own patch. They completed most of their sets and kept us away from our line and keep us under constant pressure.

We were bobbins in most areas. Hopefully can turn it around next week, get some confidence and beat them on a wider pitch.

Every bit of luck deserted us and things that normally come off didn't tonight.

Not sure why we underperformed (and to be fair its a little unfair on Fev who are a a consistantly good RL team as they showed tonight) or if its anything to do with the impending doom and gloom of coaches and players leaving but the lads 'owe' us a performance after that.

Onto Thursday next week now.........

Aye well done Fev. We didn't show up tonight but if we can win next week I still believe we have enough to beat 'Fev if we play well. Gonna try and forget about tonight and just think ahead to the next week and (hopefully) the final. Surely we can't drop so many balls/throw so many forward passes/blow so many chances again this year?

That was for a young lad. He had played in the curtain raiser and got knocked out. He was ok but collapsed in the stand just before the kick off. Seemed ok when the paramedics took him away.

One of the Fev Fans had fainted in the stand and it was for him. Not sure of injuries, but he was stretched off.

well bitterly disapointed with that performance, but like has been said we got a rl lesson tonight, from a fine rl team. Its simple we perform like that and both fax and sheff will turn us over end of. Rovers seemed more up for it, and at least a yard faster in everything that they did, ridyard said on twitter last night that the lads had had their final training session, which had gone really well, and they were buzzing for thursday, well what the hell went wrong from last night to this evening, because we were not buzzing at all.
